- Marked down several thousand $$$ by Infiniti (deals galore)

CONS:
- HID thieves have picked up on the trail of the I35 being a 5.5G Maxima
- Not the best handling 4 door around, but not a bad handler neither
- Styling dates back 5 years
- Navigation system is CD-ROM, not DVD.

Thanks for the info...yeah the styling dating back quiet a bit only semi bugs me.
I still think it looks pretty sweet.

I want the M-45 ha.

Looking at some pictures it does look like the older style maxima a lot from the sides...nothing wrong with that

I love the Interior BTW

if yuo get black leather and the wood trim all over it looks real nice...plus the control panel looks pretty good IMO...especially if you get the navi popping out of the dash.

I'll have to keep this car in mind .

IMHO, the I35 is easily the bargain of the year. (Mainly due to the overwhelming popularity of the G35.) BTW: I've heard of people getting them for $28G (sans Navi/CWP). I'd almost consider one but I already have an 02 Maxima and there's not a big enough difference between the two to make that kind of trade.

Nice car though and a great garage companion for a CL.

I35 has a nice classy interior and it is very comparable to a Loaded 02/03 SE and GLE, the interior quality is much better than that of the G35 or 04 Maxima. I have seen some good looking I35's with side skirts and rear spoilers, looks are subjective alot prefer it to the G35's look it all depends on you.

i had it as a loaner when my g was getting serviced and i think its a pretty nice car. Its definetely not a young persons car, but the seating is quite comfortable and the interior is nice. Also, its a pretty quick car. Very torquey. Handling is a little soft, but i guess thats how its supposed to be.

A lot of good info has been stated. Friend’s mom has this car and overall it’s a nice sedan. Would definitely get it over a Maxima from the same generation.

Also the current M45 is great but the new/refreshed one due out in the spring looks 10x better. However the current M45's can be had pretty cheap, as they aren't moving anywhere so if you wait until the “new” M comes out you can probably do even better on one.

If this were 2 years ago, I would say the I35 is a great alternative to the TL...but everything in that category has changed except the I35. It's dated and boring. You can get a great deal on it tho....def under 30k and it will be discontinued at the end of 2004

I35 is pretty nice

First of all, my mom leased a 01 I30 which was a pretty nice car - but it did lack some features compared to my 6 speed CL. The i30 suspension has horrible shock absorbers - whenever the i30 encountered a big bump the car would shake and rumble like it was some piece of shit car. This kid who sat in the backseat said that the car is really bumpy. This indeed is true but when there are no bumps - the car is more than a pleasure to ride on. There was a lot of room and the ride is pretty silky smooth. The quality and finish of the I30 is better than my CL. Once you ride inside the car, you can immediately tell the difference. The dashboard is more updated and the car is quieter when running. But there is one thing i Hated about the I30. The seats were so thin - there was almost no back nor lumbar support in the car. THis is where the CL dominates the I30. The Cl type s seats are one of the most comfortable seats that i have ever sat on. To me this is the most important thing about enjoying a car. Also the I30 was slow as shit. I thought at first that it was a really fast car, 0-60 is 8 sec - basically as fast as a Chevy cavalier z06 or dodge neon, if you can call that fast. But my mom loved the I30 so she decided to lease another 04 i35. Let me tell you, my mom got a crazy deal. She paid $1300 down and the monthly lease payment came out to $400 a month for 39 months , 12k miles a year. The car has been vastly improved from the I30. The leather seats are based on the leather from the Q45 - major improvement but still nowhere near the CL TYpe s seats. The car is considerably faster - 0-60 in 7 sec instead of 8, i dont know how nissan engineers shaved a full second off the last generation i30. Wood trim and wood steering wheel come standard on the car, the shifter is wood. The only thing that INFINITI kept the same was the same suspension. THe shock absorbers still are the same. But all in all - the i35 is an incredible value and can be leased for $400 a month at LYNBROOK INFINITI - ask for Cary- one of the most nicest salesmen I have ever met. He is not one of those kiss your ass kind of guys - he knows what to say without having to lie nor bullshit you. He is straight up honest and up front- makes you want to buy every car from him for the rest of your life.

I appreicate all the reponses...I went to look at it and I test drove it

It had ample power, enough for decent accel.
very smooth and quiet ride
Good brakes, unlike the shitty CL brakes
Loved the classy interior feel.

Looked way too much like a Maxima from 2000.
Buttons and interior options were dated 3-5 years
Navi system wasn't that great.

All in all it is a great car for the money. Very smooth riding and quiet.
But if I am going to choose a car with out of date options why not just get a 2000 jaguar XJ8 for the same price.

Also the salesmen was a pain in the ass. I told him I had about 5 more months on my CL and wasn't getting rid of hit till I hit 50K. He's spending an hour bullshitting to me and trying to work out payment figures and all this crap. I told him when I walked in..."I am just trying to get an idea of different cars" I expected to spend 20 mins, not an hour. Either way, after seeing the dash of the FX35, the TL, and such...I opted not to go with the I35
I also looked at the G35 sedan while moron was trying to "rework" the numbers...It's a little too small inside. you can't fit comfortably in the back...and at 6'3" and long legs I just wasn't comfortable in the front...not to mention my feet didn't fit well with the pedals.

so the search for a new car continues...I tell you i'm about to give up and just go with an '04 Grand Cherokee Overland...I don't like the new '05 styling, and I love Jeeps.

BTW I love the FX35...but it's a little out of my price range once you put in all the good options ($44K.) What a sweet looking car though.

$37k is a bit more likely but yes. The current M45 can be had for several thousand below MSRP.
