I had an '03 I35 for a loaner for a week in early-'03. I thought it was a very nice car with plenty of get-up-and-go, and I wouldn't have minded having one if I were in the market for that kinda car. Don't know much about maintenance an' all, though.

It's not a "young guy's" car, that's for sure.

I've had one also, for a loaner and the car is very solid. Lots of giddy up... Plush seats...

But its target market is those who drive Buicks IHMO. Older crowd.

that's what i'm going for...most the cars I am looking at right now attract the older crowd.

I dress like an old man and I feel old, my back is killing, and my knees are shot...I think I need a new hip...I'm moving to FL or staying in AZ and retiring.

It didn't feel that big and heavy from what I remember, but it felt more substantial than my '98 3.2 TL. A used RL may be what you're looking for if you want heavy and quiet.

nah I don't want to get another Acura...and also I don't want to get that used since they just came out with the new one...i'd be kicking myself over it

the new one is too much money.

p.s. the clock is awesome, as is the navi.

yeah, because I had an old mans car in HS...and I love it

I just want a big sedan, I like them the best.

used STS, used s-type, new I35, used M-45, used S430...along those lines basically.,

Is the interior similar to the G35C, or is it markedly different?

too many 300m's...and shitty trade in value on them.

And the M-45 is what I really want, but I would have to find it used because a new one is out of my price range.

Well, I just got my 04 Max and the interior is pretty fucking sweet. I'd say the I35 is as nice, plus you get a better warranty/roadside with Infiniti.

It's similar, however '05 brings some changes, but nothing to get wet over.

I was never a big fan of the interior when it first caem out, but I drove the car and found the appointments and functionality to be very friendly, easy to use. I have no regrets going from the CL to the G. Especially on the interior differences. IMHO, both manufacturers get things done, just a bit differently in style.

Not terrible. I want a 6-speed TL, but I'd rather have AWD if I could get it. Since I moved back to MA, and am closer to everything I do, I can consider a lease again.

I agree, but I can honestly say the interior in my Maxima > the interior in my G35C. Sorry Eric!

someone told me the maxima interior was cheap inside???

maybe it was the altima

I haven't seen one since an 01

if you are saying the maxima interior is sweet, then I would assume so would the I35...fair enough i'll have to go look at one

That is what i'm kinda going for.

did the I-35 feel like this?

PROS:
- VQ35DE power delivery (255hp)
- VQ35DE modability
- Softish ride - Loads of interior room
- Understated looks - JDM Nissan Cefiro look
- EL gauges
- Made in Japan (100%)
- Infiniti's top notch service (also read: G35S/X loaners )
- Marked down several thousand $$$ by Infiniti (deals galore)

CONS:
- HID thieves have picked up on the trail of the I35 being a 5.5G Maxima
- Not the best handling 4 door around, but not a bad handler neither
- Styling dates back 5 years
- Navigation system is CD-ROM, not DVD.

go to carsdirect.com and price the car there... I'm getting $30,649 for a I35 with cold weather and navigation.

That's a fucking steal!!!

I think interior likeness is VERY subjective. Die hard CLS fans say there interior is > *, so...

I've really warmed up to the G interior. When I was 99.9% ready to buy a Murano (dealer wasn't negotiating in good faith, so I walked), I sat in the Max and REALLY liked it. However, the price tag was getting close to that of a G sedan, and was my biggest turn off.

But I woudl agree... The Max's interior is very nice.
