Your priorities for a vehicle

What do you find important in a vehicle? Feel free to add/subtract your own factors. For me the ranking would have to be

1. Driving experience - just the feel of being behind the wheel. Like having the top down and cruising, or kicking the rear out, or the feel of shifting the gears. I don't care what all the car magazines or journalists said about it, or how much Michael Schumacher will never buy a car without test driving it

2. Performance

3. Looks

4. Sound. Guess you could include NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) in this too. no matter how much of a performer the Tesla Roadster may be, I think I'd still rather have an Elise. Also, see #1.

5. Reliability

6. Interior

7. Cost of ownership (insurance, MPG, resale value, etc.)

8. Luxury/comfort features

9. Practicality - nice to have, but I have no real use for it. I like wagons, hatchbacks and trucks because of their looks.

Last. Prestige/badge factor I would drive a Chinese-made no-name car if the build quality, reliability, performance and value were all there.

Driving Experience, Performance >>> Looks, Sound, Reliability >>> Interior, Cost of Ownership, Luxury, Practicality

I honestly don't care what others think about my car, so if my car is ugly in others' eyes, that's totally okay with me. Everyone has different taste and I respect that.

And no, I wouldn't drive a chinese brand car unless it's out in the market and prove to be a quality vehicle for more than 10 years.

1. Leasing terms
2. Badge
3. Open air - panoramic roof, fully retractable rear windows, etc.
4. Stereo system

1. Manual transmission. If it doesn't have this, nothing else matters.
2. At least an acceptable level of performance

Looks - face it, I won't buy a car that doesn't look good (at least in my mind)
Reliability - I usually put this pretty high, especially when buying used. New with warranty and/or lease, it would be near the bottom.
Interior - meaning quality materials, fit & finish, style... gadgets and stuff will be later
Handling - I guess this is part of "driving experience"
Practicality - I love a car I can fit a bunch of crap into
Gadgets/Creature Comforts - Obviously, beyond A/C and power doorlocks, I could care less about heated seats, voice controlled junk, weird headlight/ride leveling systems. It sounds just like more stuff that's gonna break.
Performance - Not too much into performance, at least in terms of HP. As long as it's a fun drive, I don't care too much about speed.

Cool My priorities-- today, anyway-- for a Daily Driver...

1. Reliability
2. Driving experience
3. Luxury/comfort features
4. Performance
5. Interior
6. Cost of ownership (insurance, MPG, resale value, etc.)
7. Practicality
8. Looks
9. Prestige/badge factor
10.Sound (the quieter the better for me-- I'm probably the only person on AZ who would love to have a silent Ford GT or Lambo Aventador. )

I have no issue with "bland" or plain looking cars (2G TL) or fun-to-drive-but-not-fast cars (Miatas, Fiat 124), but shy away from beautiful new cars with problematic histories (i.e. Jags).
