your guys opinion on this car

I have to get into a car pretty fast...best deal I found out here in Florida is the:

06 SUBARU IMPREZA 2.5i SEDAN with manual transmission

$0 down and 200 per month lease

What you guys think about this car? Any other leases out there with $0 down that I should consider...payments must be no higher than $300 per month

Thanks guys

nandito: I did some number "cranking" for you man and came up with this you can swing payments with no money down and provided the dealership won't work with you at all. meaning here's the price either take it or go home. (which they won't pull that) on a new Civic Si. plus money left over for tint, rims, tires, and a quick throw shifter. however with a leased car be careful how much you "rice it out" because they have to inspect it upon the end of your lease the dealership. however little things like tint, rims and tires(which you can put the stocks on in like 15 minutes no problem) i don't think they'll care about.

As long as you keep records, it doesn't really matter either way.

I have leased at least 8 cars in the last 9 years and have never had an issue turning a car in, they have never asked for records of service or made any comments about minor damage. I once turned in a 98 cavalier that was missing the passenger side mirror, no one knows what happened to it, but two days before we turned it in, it was gone - go figure! The one trick I have is to make sure you turn the car in dirty.

I would wait to buy a car until after you buy a condo. You dont want to screw up your chances over a car.

But if you really-need-a-brand-new-car-right-this-second (which, by the way, isnt a good idea imo if you couldnt tell by the sarcasm), the lower the payment, would be better.

I'm taking the plunge!!! 06 SUBARU IMPREZA 2.5i SEDAN with manual transmission
200.65 monthly payment...this is including all the tax and title stuff.

the only draw back is that the lease is for 48 month (4yrs)...I've never owned a car more than 1.5 yrs...its gonna be hard for me...but I need my condo!

Would the 06 SUBARU IMPREZA 2.5i SEDAN with manual transmission beat an RX8?

How much more is insurance on a lease?

I use to have 05 TL MT, I wouldn't think insurance would be higher, but rather lower since the TL was $35K and the Subaru Impreza is 19K...any ideas on insurance?

I don't know about Florida, but in my area, the insured has to be on the lease no matter what.
So.....you can do the lease under you and her, and insure the car either under your name, her name or both. But as far as I know, you can't lease the car on your sister and insure it on your name, unless you both share an insurance policy.
Kapiche?

Congrats on the purchase.

If you decide to get rid of the car before lease end, keep an eye on the buy-out amount listed on your monthly statement. Compare this against the current market value of the vehicle and you might be able to find a dealer or a CarMax willing to pay your buy-out amount and take ownership of the vehicle from you, freeing you from obligation.

And no way you're going to be even close to the acceleration of an RX-8.

Insurance will need to be up to the minimums required by the leasing company. Assuming you went through Subaru to lease, I would imagine basic full coverage should be sufficient. You'll get more info on that from them in a week or so.

Cost of the insurance may not change too drastically. Although the value of the vehicle you purchased is significantly less than the TL's, you may loose some of the advantage based on average cost to repair, number of claims from other owners of said vehicle, and any safety features that the TL had that the Impreza doesn't.

48, but I just ran the numbers on the 48 month lease using their lease calculator and it's still more than my TSX. Plus, this is not a $0 drive-off lease, just $0 cap cost reduction.

I know, but I was just surprised by how expensive the lease on the Si is considering that it has ridiculous resale values.

to be truthful I was somewhat suprised as well. But that is figured with no cap cost reduction and zero down.
