Thumbs up Yet Another Gas Price Thread...

I'm loving the prices now!

Across the street from my office at Conoco is $2.08.

How much are you currently paying in your area?

Disclaimer # 2...

I never bitch about gas prices. It's useless and out of our hands.

But yeah, I'm definitely enjoying it while it lasts.

Bob Barker is retiring so gas prices are going to jump.

Do you have one of those big tanks on the back or side of the house? My grand parents had one of those. I couldn't imagine having to drop $400+ on that. I guess it would be ok if it lasts a long time.

How long does a tank last, GM?

Not long enough

I budget around $2K to heat the house for the winter, but it was probably more like 1600-1700 last year IIRC... I just spent $3K on a new energy star boiler to replace the old 42 y/o boiler, so a tankfull sould last 25-30% longer...

My tank is in the basement... My stepdad has two 250 gallon tanks in the basement of his new house

If a tank will last you 30% longer, thats a pretty good savings over the last boiler.

Good luck with it!

Even still, I guess I'm glad I live in a condo. I don't think I've spent $500 on "heating" gas all year.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to heat with electricity or natural gas (or LP)?

Gas is all over the place here. I've seen 87 for a low of $2.19 & a high of $2.42. Normal range is $2.25
93 anywhere from $2.30 to $2.75, normal range is $2.45

....because teh price of oil is set by politicians, and it has nothing to do with OPEC, the commodities market, speculators, supply and demand, or world events.

the colder weather and requement for more heating oil is not cyclical and does not affect demand. Same goes with the heavier traveling of the holiday season. It's all the Republican's fault. If they couldn't control the price of crude oil they would go back to their baby eating ways.

The politicians/government call only change the price by either reducing the taxes or opening up the reserves there by increasing the supply. However that crude oil would still have to be processed & the price augment would take a 4-6 weeks.

Most recent trip to the gas station cost me $2.44 a gallon for 93 octane, which is still better than the $3.25 I was paying earlier in the year.

Nice prices, I pay on average 1.30 Euros per Liter. So a fillup on my Alfa Romeo 156 (about the size of your TSX) runs about 65.00 Euros...........for you Dollar people that would be about 80 Dollars to 90 Dollars depending on the exchange rate.

OK....WTF Helmet had to post this thread. Gas is up another 5 pennies since this thread got posted.

Although....After 1 month of driving the I35, I have learned that this car hates Premium gas. I filled up 7 times so far and the worse mileage was the 2 times I used premium. She's a regular bitch.
