Perfect world would be 80 degrees and sunny everyday (let it rain at night), no snow ever, curvey mountain roads to work... scratch that in a perfect world I don't have to go to work, keep the curvey moutain roads on the way to the beach... and I'm living in my perfect world with RWD.
awd that the front or the rear can be disengaged.
similar to 4x4 in trucks and suvs but for cars.
my friend had an old subie that had fwd and awd and awd lo. it was pretty interesting set up.

it depends on your driving style and area you're driving in.
Personally I drive in the winter so I the engine weight on the drive axles.
however with AWD if you're more performance driving(like Evo MR or Sti) it hugs curves and sticks in the curves.
If you're more "old school" something like a GTO or Mustang you like drifting or hanging out the rear end on curves then you gotta go with RWD.
