I doubt it. I have never worked with a vinyl that doesnt get brittle.

Hell, even yesterday when it was only about 50d here in Texas, the vinyl I was working with was breaking instead of stretching.

My advice...save your money and paint it.

How much does a repaint generally cost? It seems to me if you are dropping $3k+ on vinyl wraps, you should just repaint the car and not have rough edges and different color door jams.

I'd say $3000 is in the low ballpark of a good paintjob.

I have reason to believe the current vinyl on this car cost more than $3.5k.

Update:

2/15/2012

I will get pictures this friday when I take the parts to the shop to get them install.
Just got my tune done for oct 90. Alaska's lame because we only have 90 oct.
After the parts are install I am going to the dyno shop and get it dyno and send data logs back to my tuner to modify the tune. We only have RWD dynos up here so I will be removing the front drive shaft to do the RWD dyno.

How does this work? In terms of the HP/TW numbers.

Well basically it will measure how much hp/tw I will be putting for the rear but when it's back in awd the difference is not much.

Ahh, I remember seeing the vid on Infiniti's AWD system. It's rear biased and can divert 100% to the rear.

why not just put the front on blocks..

Damn shame AK doesn't have 91+ or an AWD dyno.

I think those are the genuine GT-R ones. They run about a grand IIRC.

I got mines from a vendor on nagtroc they are $1k

Update 2/20

Sorry I could not get my car to my installer. A very close friend passed away and I am on my way to attend the funeral. As of now the install of my GTR has been postponed until I come back. I meant to update this thread sooner but could not as had to confirm dates and stuff.

I will post update as much as I can this week. I should be back next Wednesday and hopefully take my car to install the following weekend.

Thanks!

Update!

Everything is going well and I'm back.
Right now no eta on when I can get the parts installed now.
Waiting on my stage 2 tranny so hopefully by the time it gets here there should be slots open for me to take my car in to install parts.

I took pictures of the parts but have not yet uploaded them yet.
Will upload them by tomorrow night.

Sorry all for the long wait and delay...
Things happened so much but I dropped off the car at the shop and asked them to document the build and everything...

Here is what they have so far

A quick cleaning before we took this one apart. Waiting outside to be brought in.

Side shot getting ready to work on this one.

Hoods off and this is a stock looking setup for now...

Lower covers off, old stock exhaust exposed.

Stock exhaust exposed.

Stock Downpipes removed.

New rear section of exhaust still in box

New exhaust system going in.

Stay tune! More to come!

Old stock injectors out. Ready for 1000cc injectors.

Still removing suction tubes...Not fun.
