Not a fan of the new IS in general, but I like this example of a done-up one. I don't think it's ricey at all I mean it's got all quality running gear - project mu brakes are no joke and that loud blue color of the caliper is their version of Brembo gold...it's standard issue. I'd like to see what has been done under the hood for the final verdict.

I see an ARC intake Seems like he just bought the most expensive stuff money can buy. The funny thing is, if all these parts were on a previous gen IS, it would flow so much better. IMO, Lexus was trying to get away from the "tuner" image with the new IS. I mean, look what they did with the SC

ARC is around 800 just for the box, it's the only true cold air intake that is available for the IS currently, lexus has come out with an F sport line with a new revised box and dual ram induction ducts, but will be available in may. the Ings kit on the car is no joke, the rims are nice but i agree i would do a different color, and the project mu breaks are awesome. there are other finally done IS's done up. for example...and this is what i'm prob going for

Im not the owner but to pick apart your statement, wheels no arguements its all in the eye of the owner no argument there from me.

Not so ricey brake color though is kinda a funny statement. Project Mu is one of the top of the line brakes in japan. That is the only color they come other than for the Skyline they come in Gold which there is rumor might be coming to other models but right now thats the only color.

I think chrome lugs on that style wheel would look hideous. you just dont run chrome lugs on a wheel like that, just doesn't look right.

Everyone has their own definition of rice....this is like...high end rice, its the best you can get, but its still rice Better rims with uncolored lugnuts, black or silver caliper, and removal of dual fart can system =

But then again, I think a lot of Volks except for the GT-S are ugly on most cars, so what do I know Besides them being lightweight and strong, they're pretty "meh" to me. I'd rather have DPE, iForged, or HRE for almost the same price.

And I know who project MU is....big deal. I doubt he does anything serious enough to warrant those brakes, so why not get Stoptech or Brembo? Are those not high end enough for the fury of ~200whp lol Atleast you can get them in any color

I'm with CCColtsicehockey. The car is very, VERY nicely done. All high-end parts.

Dan Martin, the IS is not that low. I bet there are a lot of lower Acuras in this forum.

The lip and plate are a little much. The colors come off a little awkward, but high end parts like that are sometimes designed to be flashy and weird looking. Def unique looking.

no,nothing offended me, i dont' have a lexus, but i just dont like the way acura owners judging a lexus. they are not "competitors". lexus is
competing with bmw and mb, acura should go judge an infiniti.

and where do you judge this competition thing? seeing as an is250 is slower than a TSX in every trim.

in an attempt to get away from "rice" and stay "clean", this IS's subtle mods just make it look like a Stock IS with some sport rims...theres nothing special here at all with mods, im moving to the next thread...

If it were mine, though, I'd take an IS 350, thank you. I'd also do red calipers to set off the black properly.

I dunno if I'd take it over a 350, especially if it was MT. Wheels are meh, better choices out there for the IS IMO. I think it sets off the bodykit though. And I find the plate funny

And with regards to the "acura owners are hating because their cars are FWD" post:

What does it matter? All (3) Acura sedans and a few of their sedans will whup an IS250, as phee said.

Acura, Lexus, Infiniti, BMW and so on go all against each other. I was about to buy a Lexus GS or IS350 but found this TL and love it. Personally the TL is less ricey than many Lexus's I see slammed with 20s and doors like that above and many other things.

Mods, I believe this is a troll stiring trouble. All his posts are here attacking Acura vehicles and supporting Lexus ones.
