WOW...You have to drive this

Well I was at work today and one of my fellow Co-Workers pulled up in a different car than usual. He used to own a Nissan Maxima SE 05, it was ok....not better than the TL But in my amazement he was driving a Jeep Cherokee SRT8...When i test drove it...that thing felt 3 times faster than the TL...

OMG if you did not drive that car yet, YOU GOT TO!!
It is insane.....
Every house on the block was just dissapearing behind me,

But as i left work and went into the TL it felt sooooo slow,
BUT I LOVE MY TL!!

Yeah, but his gas mileage probably really sucks. lol Then again depending on the amount of money he makes thats not a problem. They are nice looking, sounding, performing trucks.

Agree. If it wasn't for the gas factor and that I'm not sold on the Jeep SUV's based on when I was looking for a truck, I may consider it.

My buddy had one of those for a while w/nitrous. Was running in the 11's. Insane truck. Rattled horribly from the day he bought it. Traded it in after 6 mos. I feel sorry for whoever ended up w/ that truck. LOL.

Where has Beltfed been hiding? I think the GC SRT8 is an interesting package, it offers a lot of performance for the money, but due to the ride quality and the fuel economy I never gave it a second thought.

Really? I borrowed my buddies SRT8 for a day and thought the ride quality was fine.

Thing handled well for an SUV also. He now has a bunch of engine work done to it, cant wait to take it for a spin.

It must have been about a year and a half ago I test drove one, right before I bought the Infiniti. Maybe over time my jewishness about the fuel economy has started to impact its ride quality I guess I was shocked how firm it rode due to its weight and the tires, I was expecting it to be softer.

SRT8s are badass, but low profile tires don't belong on a Jeep

I've got the Jeep GC Limited w/hemi. At 330hp its nice...but the SRT8 is just amazing. If it wasn't for gas prices, I'd be all over one. You can find a slightly used 06' for around 30K...loaded and sexy.

I'll probably be moving to a car here soon. I'm tired of filling up $80 a week. That's too much $ spent on gas. I love the Limited, and really wish gas was at like $2 or $2.50... I'd definitely pickup an SRT8.

Your right, if gas was a dollar, or more, lower per gallon I would have probably got a SRT8 instead of the infiniti in 07 and thus not bought the S2000

It is insane.....

Ya gotta love torque. It is immediate gratification for the right foot! I kinda looked into one a little while back to maybe replace the Caddy. The interior was surprisingly nice and the fit and finish of the exterior panels looked great. Fuel economy was no worse than my car already. I ended up getting turned off by the salesman. He was trying to tell me that the GC SRT8 would outhandle my modified Caddy on a road course. Note to salespeople out there: 1) Never insult a customer's current vehicle and 2) Don't spew crap to someone more knowledgable about cars. While it does outhandle alot of vehicles that it "shouldn't" there is no way in hell it'll run circles around a CTSV unless the track is made of ice.

I heard the interiors were ass as well. Nice thought, 425 HP in a somewhat decent looking truck. But interior rattles/shakes=cost cutting.....

No thanks.

What's the point of lowering any vehicle, better performance. Yes, it's an SUV, but these types of SUV's are not made to go off roading.
