Woot woot! Nice!

If I had gotten the X, that would be the first thing I do.

I just installed my Hoen Xenonmatch fogs today and the license plate LEDs.

Probably gonna get my paddles here:

Not sure if any vendor on myG37 has it cheaper? Same paddles for both G35/37

Sounds like a good price to me, even better since its coming from an Infiniti Dealer.

I would try and call Rick from Perry Infiniti, otherwise just go with the ebay auction.

Can't complain about $250 bucks for a set of titanium paddle shifters.

But did you check if your car comes prewired for the paddle shifters?

(Some early model G35 and G37 did not come pre-wired for these so you will have to check if the car is pre-wired for the kit or not.)

Congrats! Of the cars you mentioned, the G37x was the better choice. If the TL had been SH-AWD, I would have gone with that so you could stay in the fam.

Thanks. I didn't even test drive a SH-AWD - they were all out of my price range.

Not enough snow to really test it but I have driven over some icy pavement in parking lots and driveways and I can definately tell the AWD is rear biased.

looks great. I drove an 08 g35x and if i remember correctly at 80 mph you were over 3000 rpm. I didn't like the 08 as much as the newer ones.

** 3 MONTH OWNER UPDATE/IMPRESSIONS **

Hi guys, I thought I'd post an update on my G37x purchase to let everyone know what my impressions of the car have been. I checked page 3 of this thread to see when I bought it and in two weeks I will have owned the Infiniti for 3 months.

I bought it with 25k miles and it now has 33k miles on it

I'm really enjoying my purchase so far, no regrets in any way. When I think of my 3 months with the G37 a few random thoughts pop into my head:

I bought the car because it felt like a 4 door sports car. It still does, but, it doesn't feel as quick as when I first bought it. I'm just used to power now. Though, if I drive my wife's car for a few days and get back into mine I feel the power again (note, my wife drives a Pacifica and its pretty torquey, so it used to feel fairly fast to me). Speaking of torque, the G37 doesn't have a strong low end pull, but midrange and up it feels really strong. Brake torque it from a stop and the AWD puts the power down. I'll get a chip from all 4 tires and it takes off. Speed is addictive and I want more!

If I'm cruising a long at say 25 or 30 mph and floor it, I think there is too much hesitation before it downshifts and takes off. Not as bad as the TL I test drove, but it really should be better.

Besides the hesitation when flooring it, the 7 speed auto has been great. Smooth shifts and the gear rations keep the engine in its powerband. It rev matches on downshifts as well.

I've read the engines are course and I can agree. It doesn't shake the interior. The steering wheel doesn't vibrate in my hands. It isn't something I feel but I do hear it. It's enough that at high rpm's (past maybe 4500 or 5000 rpm) it makes me think I'm hurting my engine. The TL I test drove was smooth all the way to redline.

By the way, for some reason guys in pickup trucks seem to try to race me a lot (note I said "try" ) Is it the car or do guys in pickups just think they are fast?

Fuel economy isn't too bad. My daily drive is 25 miles each way from home to work. Freeway cruising for the first 10 miles or so and stop and go and city traffic the remaing way. With this mixed driving I'm getting 22-23 mpg on average. When the summer blend gas comes out and with warmer weather I expect it to go up as well. I can't complain because my old 4 cylinder car only averaged 24 mpg.

I notice I get cut off on the freeway a lot now. Like I'm not even there. If there is 1 car length between me and the car in front of me some jack arse will just merge right in. Didn't notice this with the old car. Is it the color?

The factory non-Bose stereo is pretty weak. Actually, this is the first mod I'm doing to the car. I'm sitting in a Starbucks using their free WiFi while a stereo shop upgrades all of the speakers. Speakers are phase 1 and a sub will go in later.

The AWD worked great this past winter. Even with all the power it was stable and I drove with confidence in storms.

The interior is comfortable. It has a nice sporty ride, stiff but not harsh. The steering is direct and well weighted which contributes to the 4 door sports car feel. I really like the seats. Nice and supportive.

I've read that other peoples opinions that the interior is starting to get dated and a few unfavorable comments about the material quality. I don't agree at all. There are soft touch materials everywhere. The grain and low gloss sheen of the materials are consistent (I personnally like the dark color interior way more than the tan). The aluminum trim and subtle chrome accents are upscale. The knurled knobs for the heated seats are a nice extra touch.

One negative I do notice, I notice it every time I close the drivers door, is the door pull is 2 peice plastic that flex's and moves in my hand. One day I plan on removing it and doing some kind of a fix for this.

I no longer have to struggle to put my kids in the back seat, as in my old 2 door car. The back seat is plenty roomy for my kids and the trunk has plenty of space for me as well.

So a few random thoughts 3 months and 5k miles later. In the next couple of months when the weather warms up more I'll be doing a full detail to it myself and I've got paddle shifters that I haven't installed yet. I'm also considering adding the factory illuminated door sills. As for engine mods I'm still undecided. I'd like to put on the larger G37 coupe rims, we'll see. For now I'm just enjoying my new ride.

Nice Update. Although mine is an 07x, most everything you mentioned still applies to mine. I feel pretty much the same way you do, especially getting used to the power part. I love driving other peoples cars or renting a car when I'm away because when I get back to my car it puts a smile on my face all over again

The hesitation you feel when flooring it can be reduced if you turn traction control off when you want a more sporty feel. With it off, it doesn't nerf the power so much and shifts better. Also, most guys put a grounding kit which some say helps tremendously with the tranny shifts, and others swear it is all in their minds. Not sure which is right but not an expensive item to install.

I'm at over 54,000 miles and still loving the G. It's was great in the snow. Couple of squeaks from the console but otherwise solid!

Awesome. Yea I Have one slight squeak from the console but its rare. Depends on the weather I think. Seems to be louder when cold

I haven't been driving much during the week now since I take the train to work, so my 07 is only at about 52k now. Still a baby

65 FURY CONVERT... No response? I would have had no problem if you had said that this was not your 1987 Integra, but a 1987 Integra that you found on the internet. I took this picture in the driveway at the end of 2007, and there are pictures of my CL-S floating around on AcuraZine taken in that same driveway. I even have pictures of me standing in front of this exact car.

There are PLENTY of stock photographs floating around on the internet... Perhaps, next time, you can avoid this situation by using a stock photograph.

^mountain out of a molehill much?

I can't believe G37x vs. TL was even a question I'm not one to care about what people think, but I don't think I could withstand the ridicule from owning a 2009-11 TL.

He didn't fake that he owned an Integra. He just used that other person's picture and ninjas came out of the shadows and started flailing nunchucks.

The impression from the original post was that the pic is of his previous Integra, which it is obviously is not. We've seen situations like this in the past, user posts a picture of a car, come to find out it's not their car.

If it was a honest mistake and he just forgot to mention that he just grabbed an image off the internet, so be it, but we've all seen how things like this have played out in the past and normally they never end well.
