Pretty sure that's just the touchscreen radio. The RNS 510 has four buttons on each side and the RNS 310 has 3 buttons per side but a smaller screen.

Just curious, which one would you guys get? Honda CR-Z or Golf TDI? Both put out the same performance and gas mileage numbers.

Golf TDI.

Higher quality.

Seats 4.

Looks 100x's better than the CRZ.

Is this a serious question?

That's what I'm saying. I was surprised that CR-Z was matching TDI's performance numbers.

Never sat on one. I guess it's really small?

CR-Z was $10k cheaper than the Golf TDI, so I was just curious. Never would purchase either car!

Yes, about 110TQ more.

But I don't know why the performance numbers are similar.

Me love GTI.

I've heard the VR6s are quite reliable, as they don't suffer from the same valve deposit problems as the FSI engines do. You might have better input from a forum like VWvortex.

I agree one of the best sounding exhausts. I love it. I was always against the DSG they had in it but lately I am contemplating importing one from US when the time comes for the change.

Congrats OP! Love the TDI.

I know the TDI has much more torque, but IIRC the CR-Z is much lighter. Anyways IIRC their straight line performance is neck and neck... someone correct me if I'm wrong. A review I watched seemed to posit that the TDI will get the same gas mileage whether you baby it or thrash it while the CR-Z will suffer if you do.

edit: yup, their performance is almost exactly the same

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...test_data.html

In any case, the picture of the Scirocco R made the CR-Z look HIDEOUS

reminded me of this:

Pretty much. I'm not looking too seriously- just browsing, there was one for sale here locally that got me curious. I'll be living in Michigan in a year or so. AWD caught my eye. A guy in my neighborhood has one that he raves about.

Interesting. I too have heard really good things about the VR6 engine. Hell, its been around for what seems like forever.
