Would these "defects" stop you from buying these rims?

So I've been looking for some rims for my Taurus, needless to say almost every aftermarket rim looks like garbage on my car. I did find a set of rims that I think look great. They are the Mille Miglia MM11's. They are 17x8 with a 42mm offset.

The rims on a newer Taurus Wagon (with the SHO V8):

...and the 2 defects:

They are fairly rare, are discontinued, and I can get them for $550 with tires that need replacing soon. Would you say those scratches are too big? Or am I being too picky for a 14 year old Taurus?

Any input is good input

I think it is fine. Those are some clean looking wheels. The damage is minimal and I'm sure you could get it refinished for not much $ if those minor defects bother you that much.

Its definitely not a show car, and most won't notice anyway unless they're looking for it. If thats the ONLY defects, then no it would not stop me from buying them.

and I think the 1st gen SHO looks a lot different from the 2nd gen

Definitely wouldn't stop me from buying them. They're so minor that you could probably touch it up yourself or something.

Buy them, spend <100$ on refinishing them.

You are being picky. Get them, that's a great price and they really suit the car. Use the savings for something else.

Thanks guys

Picking them up this weekend

I know of a place that refinishes the entire rim to an exact match for $90.00 if I really wanted to make them perfect...

The thing is with discontinued wheels is you can never replace them, so if one were to crack or something then you're fucked.

Considering this is about the only wheel that looks good on these cars, I'm willing to take that risk

Considering how good it makes that Gen3 wagon look, your SHO with these Mille's would look incredible.

Doesn't look like he has engine shots, I will see if I can get a couple from him next time he's online.

Yeah, I've got a 93 SHO... They do remind me of Cobra wheels, which is another reason I like them.

I'm so glad I picked these up. They will look amazing when they are mounted. Aside from the 2 little things above these rims are flawless. 2 tires are garbage and the other 2 wont fit into my wheel wells. I'll need some new rubber come Spring time.

No offense bro but I don't care how fast that thing is. It's ugly. To each his own tho. Congras on the rims. Those scratches aren't bad at all.

5 months later? Damn your a tad slow.

I would have stuck a pair of black CV steel cop rims on that thing. They look great on a white car.
Flashy rims on an old car like that just seem way outta place.
However good luck with them.

Looks good! Much better than those white salad-shooter rims. It reminds me of the early 93+ Camaros.

And really, almost 6 months to get your rims mounted? I have access to a shop, but still.... I couldn't friggin wait to get my wheels mounted. I took a chance and stuffed all 4 in my car with the seat folded, luckily they barely fit! They look good though, sorta plain looking but it matches the SHO's sleeper look. That's definitely my favorite gen SHO.

Nice ride, do they makes springs for the SHO? Would look great with a slight drop. Very nice car, and a great sleeper to murder them civics in.
