IIRC, Michelin "specially" designed tires for the Veyron to handle potholes at 270 mph or something like that.

Funny, the OEM tires on the TL don't even seem like they were designed to handle corners at 40 mph without squealing like a pig.

 

Please research the tires and the vehicle before making retarded comments. Do you really think the VW group spent millions of dollars and years of research into building this vehicle and then would put "cheap" tires on it.

As others mentioned, these tires were specially built for the Veyron are a designed to withstand the force exerted on the tires at 253mph when mounted on a vehicle as hefty as the Veyron (2ish tons). They're actually Michelin PAX tires if I recall. When the Veyron was built, there was no tire in existent that could handle what Bugatti was looking for.
