In all seriousness, it'd be quite the score for the OP on a GT-R at that price. ![Nod](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/nod.gif)
And for the record, I do NOT find the GT-R ugly. I love it.

OP, glad you got your car. But $55K for a car that will cost half that in maintenance costs? Then driving it all the way to Alaska? And dealing with all the dealer crap? That's insane.
Why would you go through all this for this car? I don't understand. The car isn't even a great car for the $.

And obviously, the maintenance of the car is high...then again, so are most high-performance sports cars?

And let's not forget about a nice comparo to the almighty BMW M3; similar sticker price...but, slower!
Good for the OP on scoring this car and at that price! I'm almost crying after reading the freaking sticker price of the vehicle. It's almost like 12X that up here in stupid Canada.

Speak of the devil, the other day I saw one parked on the corner of my old block. I think the lease company around the corner had it for lease. It was white. I couldn't snag a pic of it before it left. Had to move stuff first and by the time I finished it was gone.

I will politely disagree with you there, Herr Mod. The performance of the GT-R speaks for itself...

You gotta pay to play. If the guy has the money and wants the car, why not get it at a good price? I don't think the car is hot from every angle... but one ride in it and you can overlook its visual shortcomings. The performance bang for the buck is undeniable...

Even if the GTR looks like 4G TL, i would still buy it...

Not inspected or driven 1st? On a car like this? with some serious miles? and drive it to Alaska on top?
There's wasn't one closer in Cali or something?
Why drive it? You spend $55k what's another $1K to flatbed it?

LMAO! No worries about your Engrish, we are laughing near you not at you.
Yeah GTR is mad maintenance costs (needs to get serviced every 6 months at the very least) but IMO it's offset by a sticker price that is 1/2 of what one would pay for a similar performing car. It's a boat to drive on city streets but on the open road the GTR speaks for itself. Nissan didn't f-g out with the 2012 either, 45 HP gain! Wish Porsche did the same (15 HP gain for 991S ).
Honestly, belong to a sub 3.0 0-60 club is very exclusive (Veyron, TurboS)

I also repair and service computers on the side along with being a daily stock trader.
As for the maintenance for the GTR, I am well aware of the prices to maintain a GTR. I am fine with it or else I wouldn't buy one. Members are right, services for other high end cars are expensive also.
I will be driving through Canada as a ferry will take 5 days or even longer to get to Alaska. Not only that I would still need to drive home even at the port. So driving through Canada will only take 3 days plus cost less then ferry.
I hope that answer some of your questions
