Winter prep?

Do you guys do anything to prepare your cars for winter? Today on my Integra I degreased and scrubbed wheelwells and undercarriage, sprayed rust converter in the wheelwells, sprayed the entire frame, wheelwells and undercarriage with undercoating, and coated the exhaust system with rustproof black paint. And rotated the tires. lol

My Integra is rust free an I plan to keep it that way haha

Wow, I need to take a page out of your book.

I've never really prepped my car. After each snow storm, I do give the undercarriage and wheel wells a really good spray with the hose to get the salt off. And if its not too cold, a quick wash to get salt off the paint.

Other than putting my snow tires on and waxing the car, not really. I go to the car wash after a big snow storm to get the salt off and thats about all.

I just need new tires because mine are getting bald, and I'll need it for the rain that will eventually come here

other than that I got nothing to do

I make sure my power window switches are all working so I can rest assured I can finally enjoy driving with the windows down and the A/C off.

I make sure my heater and my wipers work. That's all I need where I live. If I want to see snow I drive two hours east.

I am sure you EC guys are sick of snow, but for me, I actually WANT to see some snow. I haven't seen snow in 3-4 years now, kind of miss it.

do not miss that-one of the benefits of living in the south.
When I lived in NJ and Pa I would make sure I had a supply of windshield cleaner fluid in the trunk. After a snow storm I would have to constantly use the fluid to clean off the salt on the windshield

I grew up in Connecticut and made my money as a kid shovelling driveways and sidewalks. I just chose as an adult to say f*ck that sh*t and moved as far away from snow as possible.

This weekend was the bomb was it not? If it was like this everyday we'd be in paradise, or as some people would call it, San Diego.

Other then snow tires and windshield washer fluid with de-icer... I never did anything else.

Of course since we moved south several years ago it really isn't much of a worry. Even when we do get snow it melts in a few hours anyway... so no biggie

Only thing i do is when the time comes put the winter wheels on, start using a washerfluid with deicer and a fresh set of wiper blades.

I don't do serious winter prep. It's all about how you maintain the car during the winter. I do weekly hand washes in the garage with Zaino Z7 wash and Z6 spray, and an undercarriage wash in the local laser wash (no brushes on my babies!!) after each big snow storm to get the salt off the undercarriage.
