The wife's neon needed umm... tires?

Well not really but it she had an 01 Neon when we met and has never really liked it. It was due for new struts, the rear brakes squealed and no one could figure out why, and the check engine light was on. The kicker was when we came home from the honeymoon and she started it. The engine was missing like crazy and blue smoke was rolling out of the back. When she shut it off and turned it back on that stopped, but we knew it was time.

We were looking for a Mazda 6 with moonroof and spoiler and it seemed like none of the lots near us has one with both. We found one online that was at a dealer an hour from our house, so saturday morning I disconnected her battery to temporary clear the check engine light . We then set off on our way to the dealer. What we found was an '06 Mazda 6i Sport automatic, with moonroof, spoiler, and bose stereo. The color is dark cherry which I don't think I have seen before. The car was in great shape and was a one owner and we purchased it from the same salesguy who sold it new.

After 5.5 hrs at the dealer we finally got to drive home in a much nicer car than we arrived in.

Here are some photos from the listing

The car looks great from the exterior that's for sure. The interior I thought was livable, certainly better than the Neon I'd imagine. Congrats on the new car, what was the sale price and mileage?

Very nice. And that is a nice shade of bordeaux, or red....

So CAI, exhaust, turbo and what else? Am I missing something?

Looks very good, and better to be far away from a neon.

I would love to do at least a CAI on it but I know there is no way she would let me. I will be lucky if she even lets me drive it haha

So I checked the dealers site today and they have her Neon up for sale. I thought for sure that car was headed directly to the auction. The funny part is that they list the car as being in "creampuff" condition with no problems.

The biggest laugh is they are asking $4600 for it, which is just insane.

Congrats! Those cars are pretty fun to drive for a family sedan. Sportier than Accords and Altimas IMO

Great choice. I have an 04 6i and have had a great ownership experience with no reliability issues. Your wife will really appreciate this car after coming from a Neon .
