Tech and RES right now. Advance would be nice, but since my wife will be driving 95% of the time... She needs a NAV and something to keep the kiddos occupied.

Really? I bought my car from. Carmax. Love their warranty! Hence y only one of my TLs are modded. Don't want to void my carmax warranty. I got a better price at another dealer, and when. I told them, they told me they couldn't lower my price but they gave me a higher trade in value then they first quoted me

This is one reason why I am not going to pursue a domestic car.

Nearly $47K, comes with an inline 4 and is FWD. Yes, it's sticker and would be discounted, but come on.

And as someone who really likes the Flex...my biggest turn off to Ford is I think they are priced way too high.
Just for comparison's sake go build a durango.

Stupid links.
It was for an Explorer, with their I4 and FWD. Similar options with AWD and a bigger motor you're over $50K. fawk that.

That turbo 4 is supposedly a really good engine.
But like I said for shits and giggles to compare go build a durango.

Looks like a loaded 3.5L Ecoboost Explorer Sport is what Scrib was quoting. That's pretty much top of the line.
A loaded Citadel Durango is about $46k before rebates. That's with the 3.6L V6 and 5-speed auto.
If you're looking at a Durango, please do yourself a favor and buy a used one. If not, you'll be hopelessly stuck in that thing because of the depreciation it'll take.

Automobile Mag expects you to lose $29,320 in value over that 5-year period. Including $17,500 in 1-st year depreciation.
So buy used, save a shitload, and if in two years you end up hating it you won't lose your ass.

Haven't pulled the trigger. Yet...
Mueller is bringing a dealership to Indiana, opening in three weeks. Was talking to the owner, said if I wanted to wait, he'd give me a better deal during the grand opening.
They're offering $28K for the RDX, which isn't horrible. I can probably get into an MDX if I work hard for under $15K out of pocket, all in. We'll see.

^ I would think you can get better deals around chicago since theres so many dealers up here.
Find a great price that people are paying for the MDX on the forums and then email all the chicagoland dealers. Tell him this is the price you want to pay and the first dealer to agree will get the sale. Let them compete with each other for your sale.
Just getting the appraisal on the RDX might be the tricky part. Then again at least you have the 28k now as a baseline..

Going by what the actual used car market is doing, and not speculation by a magazine, the Durangos are holding their value quite well. A vast majority of the used Durangos for sale are former rental vehicles. Even then, they're not exactly selling cheap, at around 70-80% of the original MSRP, with an average of 25k miles.
Yeah, you're right. No one can do math on the internet.

JX's are super nice IMO...but the CVT kills it for a lot of people.

....that and a relatively weak motor (248lb-ft) for a 4400lb vehicle with AWD. (Nissan Fail for not using the FX35 powertrain, or at least that of the Maxima if a CVT powertrain is a must.)

I wonder why they wouldn't make it a JX37 and put the G37/M37 engine in. I think those are rated for ~330hp. Maybe CVT not proven to handle that power load, while its been used in the Altima/Maxima/Murano with the VQ35 engine for so long? Then could have just used a 7AT like every other Infiniti too

We have gone on ski trips with 6 people in the Pilot (one is in back row with just 1/3 up) and there is decent space for stuff- assuming your boards are topside on the rack.
A Pilot will appear cavernous compared to an RDX but yet very familiar behind the wheel.

Did the deal today. Ended up doing pretty well, Effectively paid $41.9K with $28K on the RDX trade. Acura is also giving $1K as "cash" towards downpayment purchase (applied after tax).
Polished Metal, black interior. Tech and entertainment. My son already watched his first movie.
Most importantly, wife likes the car a lot more than the RDX. :win:

congrats! disregard my post in the other thread.
that's a great deal! enjoy it. it won't be as peppy as the RDX, but the MDX handles it's own pretty well for a 4500pound beast.
