I think they do that when they ran on the race track, and the tape is probably a protective covering from the small debris to prevent breaking the headlight lens, or if the headlight got hit by stone the tape will hold or prevent shattering headlight glasses on the track.. Just my 2 cents

hey man i don't know what these guys are talking about. that ride is dope, plain and simple. i would trade my CL in a heartbeat for an all wheel drive, twin turbo charged I-6 sex machine. everytime i see one in my rearview, its not for long kuz its passing me by. have respect for the car that could own yours.

No, I'll race my RX. Or I'll race when my E46 M3 comes in in (hopefully) August. either one. I'll race your 99 M3 too. I just don't like when some chump comes in here bragging how much better his car is then the Type S when it costs $10K more for the same options. I'd like to see him go to the Z06 or M3 forum and talk it up.
