i just bought a set for my rl and they perform very well. @ 48 per tire, it was one hell of a deal. now if you are looking to have a sweet looking sidewall, this one isnt the nicest looking but not bad. they handle much better than the stock bichelins.

they are a good tire, I had them on my maxima, but they tend to wear out quicker than other tires. And they are slightly harsher riding than the pilot sports I had. Other than that, great tires.

If I were to purchase another set for my car, it would be the ECSTA ASX:
Metric 35/40/45/50/55 Series, 'W' Speed Rated
UTQG: 420 AA/A
Given my camber issues, a high TWR is needed.

There are words that we use to describe tires in some cases, like:
Cheap and Inexpensive
Inexpensive: Low in price. Seemingly fair initial value for amount spent. Much less in price than many compeditors...don't be fooled.
Cheap: Lack of durability. Inconsistent wear patterns (especially down the center channel). Utter lack of grip once the mileage increases. Tread separation is common.
Basically, it's not a good buy. As mentioned before, Tire Rack gives good reviews and analysis, but some of the reviews are from your Average Joe buyer that may not have the same demands as enthusiasts like many of us. Depending on the application of your choice, there are a number of better tires that you may have to spend a little bit more on to achieve more satisfaction. For a medium performance tire, one might consider the Yoko ES100 or the Fuzion ZR-1.

I've seen an alarmingly high number of impact breaks through out the kumho line. I can get any brand tire available at competetive prices, kumho is one of a very few brands that I will send the customer to the competetion to get.
Bottom line is you get what you pay for in life, I can understand not wanting to put Potenza S-03's on your beater car, but I wouldn't put Kumho's on your good car either. A tire is required to do more things simultaniously on a car then any other part, besides its the only thing between you and the road don't take chances. But hey, they are cheap

I have the ecsta ASX and couldn't be happier with them. They were $90 per so they weren't exactly dirt cheap, and only about $20 cheaper than the Yoko AVS ES100's they replaced. Bottom line is i got them due to the high mileage i drive and their treadwear rating. So far so good though, lots of grip, can't complain.
I have no idea what type of markups are involved, perhaps the other tire brands just jack up their prices because they have the established name. who knows. If i drove fewer miles i probably would have gone with the pirelli neros.

I have had them on a coupla cars. I have the ASX's on the cl. Good tires but they do wear sort of quickly. Sidewalls are a bit weak as well. I had a whole range of tires on my old integra GSR - YOKO's, Goodyears, michelins, and kumho's kumho's were a distant second to the Goodyear eagle RS-A's

I have had 2 Kuhmo Tires Blow out on me. All 4 bubbled had bubbles a few weeks after getting them, i never hit any bad pot holes in that time. I would never buy them again. Also the lack of traction on them is amazing.
