why I've neglected my car this summer

So I posted a couple pictures after my first trackday in June, and come next week I'll be doing my 5th. Trackdays are a serious addiction, and I cant seem to get enough of them.

Had a '03 honda 600rr on my 1st TD and did pretty good on it, but as alot of guys on here know I go thru bike quite frequently. SOOOO I ended up picking up a '06 yamaha r6 that'll strictly for the track. This bike is BADASS!!!! Mind you I've been a yamaha guy since I got my first one a few years ago (600r)...now have an R1 and R6 I'm in heaven.

Having the R6 changed my game at the track, I'm much more aggressive (not touching knee yet) and the bike just asks me to keep going faster. Next year I'll be getting my race license and seeing how I can do

Enjoy the pics:

here is a pic of my babies all clean together (my neglect TL in the background)

and I have run the R1 at the track....and I was actually not as comfortable as I wish I could've been....I was too worried about gassing out too hard from corner (like I do w/ the r6) and losing it

Sweet pics! How long have you been riding and what are the fees and costs associated with a track day? Tires, entrance fee, etc?

been riding for 4yr....trackday fee vary depending what company you go with I've paid 150-250 for a trackday. so far I've burned thru one set of tires within 3 td, so I'm sure next year tire costs wont be fun

I've got the same gloves. I love them.

Those pics look awesome and make me want to sign up for track days right now!! But I need to get some miles under my belt first.

Keep the rubber side down.

Yeah, I don't treat my car as good either after I started riding 3 years ago.

Track days are addictive. I've been out on my01 F4i but now I have an 07 ZX-6R. I've been out in the twisties with it a bunch but can't wait to take it to the track.

Yea I love those gloves, funny enough I only use them during trackdays. Telling ya TD are the shiznit, makes you really see what your bike can do

I've washed my car twice this summer, and as good as it looks clean I rather make sure my bikes are spotless. Almost got a '05 636 before I settled on the R6...I love the sitting position in addition to the easier access to power you have (even tho the r6 screams nicely to redline).

Can't wait for next year....probably going to VIR at VA in april to get my racing license. Do some races locally and hit up some outta state tracks (canada and florida) for TDs
