I'm sure if you modified something that wasnt supposed to exceed a certain speed, rpm, etc....you'll blow something in a japenese or euro car as well.
the driver def. exceeded the maximum limit of the drive shaft.....and he paid the cost for it.

It's interesting as there have been a few driveshaft failures with the 2011+ Mustangs but from everything I've read it has happened after being run hard at the drag strip.
The way I look at is that there's a speed limiter in place from the factory for a reason, if you mess around with it be prepared for a shit storm.

Just so I understand you, you're claiming you will never buy an American car because someone disconnected the speed limiter on one, ran it 20% quicker than what the limiter was originally set, all while filming while driving the entire experience, until the driveshaft let loose?
You actually don't have any idea how vehicles are designed and manufactured to be driven at predetermined specifications. Various models are often built with different components to suit varying applications. In terms of a Mustang, a GT is constructed differently from a GT500. A V6 is constructed differently than a Boss. The only thing this video proves is that there are particular individuals that should never drive anything.
Anyway, I'm going to go out now and aggressively drive my 6MT Accord until the tires let loose and I drift it into a tree. And then feel quite comfortable blaming Honda and consider it a representation why I'll never again buy Japanese.
