I love seeing truck acting like they own the road here, especially in the winter. And then seeing them all in ditches. I have seen 1 car in the ditch this winter. And about 50 trucks haha

My wife has an '01 Corolla. I work on it all the time so I somehow feel connected to Corollas now. I just replaced the rear O2 sensor, which was a fun job, and put new plugs in it a few weekends ago. 130,000 miles and it still runs like a champ and gets 30-35mpgs.

In Arizona we have all the lifted turbo diesels trucks that blow huge black clouds out of the tailpipes when they take off. I guess it has to do with the fact any assclown can plug a programmer in and get an extra 100hp/100tq. I'm sorry, a 15 second jacked up huge truck doesn't impress moi. It's really annoying when I'm next to one with my windows open and they decide to leave a black smoke screen by gunning it. Lame.

I had one Corolla come in for smog inspection, I think it was 98 or 99. It had around 260K miles on original engine and still had original catalyst. The owner said he bought it for $500 with blown tranny about 3 years ago, had about 150K miles on it. Only a tranny swap and regular oil changes and car runs great. I kind of like these older Corollas too. New ones are just too big.

I don't know why you guys are so biased when it comes to treating people on the forums. Just because he's new doesn't mean he can't have an opinion. It's a discussion on a public forum, not a debate in your damn house. If you don't like it, stop reading and hit the back button. I've seen high count posters ask some ridiculous questions and you all seem content with it. So biased.

Any ways, I've experienced more reckless drivers in a lifted truck than anything. Of course when you're that high, it's easy to think you're on top of the world.

None taken at all, everyones financial situation is different, i have cars other than my corolla which caused me to be interested in acurazine, but i am always amazed that people on this forum care more about what you drive than what you have to say

Haha that tends to happen on a car forum, generally filled with car enthusiasts. But yes I agree. It is amazing sometimes.

I only listed the RDX and TSX in my sig because they are Acuras my family and i previously had and shared. Im not gonna list every other car we have owned. We have downsized considerably since those leases, mostly because cars like those are unnecessary. My 8 year old TL replaced the TSX and a Forester replaced the RDX. I am not any less happy now than I was when we had the RDX/TSX in the family

Anyways, what was this thread about again?

No doubt there are some insanely fast ones out there, I've seen them at the track quite a few times, but the ones I encounter on the street tend to be way more bark than bite.

Idk i like people seeing that I have experience with more than one acura, BUT not for the bragging rights. I was the primary driver of the TSX also.

i put "leased" next to them too so i figured people would probably realize they were family cars, as no dealer would lease a 17 year old (at the time) a car.

/off topic

I see people driving like douche bags in ANY type of car. In my area I encounter a lot of VERY elderly people who drive like douche bags without them even knowing it. It sucks because there is nothing you can do about them. They dont want to give up their driving privileges. Its understandable though, I know I wouldnt.

Up where I'm at in the bitter north of Canadark, pick-up truck and BMW drivers are numero one and two (this can flipflop) as the worst drivers...

Cut you off? Check.
Tailgate you if they think you're too slow? Check.
Take too long to make a turn because you think caution is better and they honk you? Check.

Put it this way, it's like the golf-shirt and the popped collar. The minute you do it and pucker your lips (and get a bad tan)...instant douche.

Buy a pick-up or BMW? Instant douche.

Can you imagine if BMW made pick-ups?

I'm stereotyping of course and there are exceptions...BUT, generally speaking, it's what I see.

Just lastweek. I was in the turning lane, theres 2 lanes that turn left. I was on the right side, there was a white truck on the left. . Then the arrow turns green, I follow the line i was in, and without even signaling or anything, right before we made it through the lane, he cuts me off and went infront of me in my lane.

Whats worst is the truck driver loading furniture or other heavy items, and not secure them correctly. The other time I saw a truck having a few mattress on its bed, BUT, there was no rope to tide it down. I immediately went to the other lane. And when we stop at a stop light, and then the light turns green, the truck driver excellerate normally and forgot that he has unsecure cargo in the back. and the bed mattress fell down and hit the other car's windsheild behind him. broken glass was everywhere.
