Depends on the car. In the mustang, every time I drive it. In the supra, about once a week. TL - probably twice a month. Audi, twice a month.

I like to do it just to keep tabs on what is going on. That includes transmission fluid too.

LOL, same here with my RSX. Mine burns about a quart between oil changes so I check it every couple of weeks (was about every other day like you until I got a feel for the burn-off rate). I check all fluids in my TL about once a month since I bought it used just to make sure there are no slow leaks or burn-off issues.

My grandpa, OTOH, had a '53 chevy pickup that literally required the oil to be topped off more often than it was filled with gas. How times have changed...
