Who do you think will blink first?
If people think this particular topic should be moved to AN let me know and I'll move it there.
Anyway, it appears that Chrysler Canada and the CAW are at an impasse. From what I hear, Chrysler is indeed serious about ceasing their Canadian operations. Personally I applaud their stand, and can't understand why the union wouldn't agree to it. I suppose it's tough to go from $76.00 to $57.00 an hour.

Good to see that they're growing balls. Especially since (not sure about now though) minivans are Chrysler's bread and butter.... either you guys take a paycut or take the unemployment. A shame GM showed little to no testicular fortitude during their dealings with the UAW.
The UAW has no place in today's society with labor laws that are around now. Negociations and agreements are just wasted time, effort and money that could be better put towards other things. Unfortunately I think the UAW will hold firm, they've got plenty of cash reserves and they'd rather take someone else down with them rather than simply concede and show any sort of weakness.

I hope they pack up and leave and tell the CAW to eat it. After the ultimatum they put to the Canadian government I honestly hope they (Chrysler mgmt) never sell a car here again.
