Where does your car sleep at night?
The reason I posted this is mainly because I'm nervous right now.
I had a detail ('06 Jeep Wrangler) over the weekend and it gets the garage because he hasn't been able to pick it up yet. So my Santa Fe is in the driveway. Makes me nervous because there's this guy in the neighborhood who is always trying to piss me off. He knows how much I love my car and I wouldn't put it past him to vandalize it or do something stupid to it. I keep going to the window every few minutes to make sure it's okay.
I hope it'll be back inside tomorrow night.

That's just a roof cover that extends out from above the side door of the house, at about the middle of the driveway between the street and garage, so it's a covered area like a car port that is open in front and back.

dirt apartment parking lot, right between an escort ZX3 and an 88civic painted with lavender house paint(yes with a brush). In turn I park like a a$$hole diagonally to counter the threats surrounding my baby,
If possible, garage your car
I used to detail cars during college for side cash and I could always tell the cars that weren't garaged. People often don't realize how hard the elements are on their vehicles (cosmetically and technically).
In addition to the obvious (i.e. you're in an area of extreme cold or heat), having your car sit out each night speeds along its detioration and ultimately its depreciation. Rubber hoses and seals will wear faster, paint will fade faster, leather and interior plastics will age faster, exposed metals will rust faster, and dirt and water find their way into nooks and cracks, which means you'll hear squeaks and rattles sooner than normal.
You'd think this would be obvious, but our neighbors across the street are an example that people just don't get it. They have a Mercedes CLS, R500, and a Jeep Grand Cherokee - all of which sit out every night. Granted I live in a nice area in Orange County, so the weather is not as extreme and the safety factor is relatively high, but they'd rather store a $50 used couch in their garage than protect $150K worth of vehicles. It blows my mind.

Large 2 car garage. Both the car and truck fit comfortably in there with room on both side of the truck and little room on the passanger side of my car. I would never want to own a place without a garage again. Never having to shovel snow, or get soaked getting to and from the car is worth it. And our garage is technically our basement. So it's a piece of cake.
i voted garage, but i have cars in the driveway, sometimes on the street (when the winter parking isn't in effect), and even one int he back yard with a car cover over it. right at this very moment, lol
i got 2 non running legend's in the my garage, my CL taken apart (althou mostly put back together already) on the driveway, and my other Legend in the backyard with a car cover (2 actually) over it.
