wheels with incorrect offsets

Is it possible to grind down the inside part of a wheel (the part inside that mounds to the car's hub) to get your desired offset?

Like if the wheels were currently a +43 offset, could you shave 7mm off to achieve a +50 offset?

very possible, I'm a first gen baby and my rims poke out just a lil bit and when i took them off the inner part was worn down, mainly because it grinds on the fender liner and some other stuff in there, my left passenger fender liner is now gone, need to replace that though, best thing to do is just get the right stuff for the vehicle especially when dealing with your tires

Yeah Zero I think one of the guys did that to fit his wheels on there. What are the size of the current wheels?

7mm is a lot. It depends on how much meat is there to grind. Take a pic of the back of the wheel (hub) so we can see.

Well, in my actual situation the wheels are a 19x8 with a +45, and I wanted to grind it down 2 or 3mm to achieve a +47 or +48 offset.

There are places that can do it. But they will probably not want to shave off 7 mils. 3-4 is more like it.

19x8 with a 45 offset , you should be fine especially with just a Pro-Kit.. Phrosttz01 had 19x8 with a 45 offset on Axis Mods with coilovers and never rubbed..Wasn't your last wheels that offset and 19x8

I am running on Pro-Kits with 225/35's and I don't rub at all. However, the wheels sit pretty much flush with the car's fender in both the front and the rear. I would just like to move them a little bit back into the car's fender because I am worried about throwing rocks and chipping the side and rear of my car.

Example:

There is alot of rear tire exposed outside the rear fender well.

I've been running an offset that flush with the fender for years now and have had no problems. I wouldnt worry about it. It looks great.

pushing the wheel in would affect the way the car looks and it looks pretty as it is. i say get some clear bra material and place it behind the wheel, although i've never read about this being a problem.
