There are two different Wheeler Dealers in my Tivo Guide.
Wheeler Dealers does the UK cars and Wheeler Dealers On The Road is doing the cars from Europe.
But I've missed the Willys Jeep and Skyline episodes and I have no idea why.

Fios only has regular wheeler dealers on channel 914 velocity hd
New episodes are Wednesday nights. Just saw the latest one just now, Porsche 914. Cleaned up nice and a funny spin to who bought it at the end

Saw this thread and have been working my way through the episodes for the past few days. Hate 914's but now have a soft spot for it after watching ol' Edd shine her up. A big part of me can't stand Mike though, he's just a huge tirekicker and doesn't do much outside of finding the cars. I've been watching Counting Cars a lot lately and enjoy the similarities between the two shows.

On a sour note, I can't help but notice the TV-ness of Wheeler Dealers sometimes. Whether it's the unaccounted for parts in the list at the end or the fake engine starting/throttle blipping (watch the 914 episode where he starts the engine for the first time since the rebuild, the tach never moves while the cars being revved) it just drives me crazy as much as I enjoy the premiss of the show.

Yeah I don't know if the cars end up better at the end than what we see because they have to skip steps ... I have a feeling the shows are still 30 mins there and get cut down here for commercials. So maybe we in the US miss stuff they do.

did anyone catch the new season with the 20 year old Aston Martin DB7 (in all honesty, I think I've been downloading the British airings which airs on their discovery channel)? The price they sold it for was WAY low.
if there was an american version of wheeler dealers and they offered it on ebay or their own website, they'd be getting 4-5 times what they get for it at the end of the show

Velocity is airing the first episodes of Wheeler Dealers from 2003 ... They had a 924 and a Saab 900 as the first cars on the show. Their budget was £1000 if you can believe it.
It looks like the first season is going to have some interesting cars, include a Mk 1 GTI and a Peugeot 205 GTI 1.9 and a Mercedes Benz 2.3-16 ... Two of my favorite cars when I was a teenager in England in the mid-80s.

That show has really come a long way since the early episodes. I started watching it on Discovery HD (now Velocity) a few years ago when they were still doing cheap local cars. It's better now, but it had a nice charm earlier on.
Will be interested in the first season reruns, wactching as they bumble through their growing pains like every show does.

Mike's doing a world tour kinda thing with "Trading Up". The first episode was last Tue, and the next one is tomorrow. Check out torrents for that...pretty entertaining.
