Does anyone else do this?

My 13' TL is the first vehicle i have ever owned with heated seats. However, i figured out something that is very very refreshing. On cool mornings i like to drive to work with all my windows up, sunroof open and heated seats on high. Wow.....feels amazing. I know my idea of cool weather will be different from everyone elses. I live in the south so 40's down here is quite cool, other areas at that temp people prolly wear shorts and tshirst. . I use to drive with my top down on my s2000 with heater on blast in the winter (30's-40's) which was a little extreme, this isnt quite as bad but still very nice. But anyway, i was just curious if anyone else does this, or am i just a weirdo?

I did that in both my CL and TL...it was awesome!

My S2000 desperately needs heated seats.

lol.

In any case, you haven't lived until you have a car with a heated steering wheel.

S2000 doesn't need heated seats.

This X1000. My Sorento has a heated steering wheel and cooled seats, so what I do (in warmish weather, not cold weather lmao) is open the pano roof, keep windows rolled up, turn on the cooled seats and turn on the heated steerig wheel. You truly have not lived until you have warmed your hands while cooling your ass while driving.

It's also perfect for days in the summer where it's cold because it has/is raining and you can't open the windows, I turn on the cooled seats because it gets stuffy and then turn on the heated steering wheel. Life made.

I really wish my car had ball blowers or cooled seats. The heated seats are definitely nice with the windows down, but my car didn't have sunroof as an option.

I've actually never used a heated steering wheel, would be nice. That or I never knew how to turn it on.

Oh man! Ball blowers have been on my want list for the past 5 years, finally got a vehicle that has it and I can not wait to use it in +30 celsius weather. Lmao a heated wheel is life changing, when my hands get cold they stay cold for like 30 mins so a heated wheel is almost a necessity.

I use them even in now during a few really cold days this winter when I have had enough of the heated seats. I LOVE heated seats don't get me wrong, but when I turn them on I overheat WAY too fast and in comes the ball and back sweat. I now turn on the cooled seats and boom, 1 minute mater I feel comfortable and then turn them off. The one funny thing with cooled seats is that they make you feel like you wet yourself and changing from a burning hot seat to a cold one is the weirdest feeling ever lmao.

How about heated console & door armrests
MBZ S550 FTW.

Not sure if the new gen does it, but the W221 would allow the heated and cooled seats to be on together.

Yup, agree. My Jeep has both too and it's super nice to have them come on with remote start to cool the black leather down a bit before I sit on it and burn my ass in the summer. Heated wheel is epic though, would never own another car without it.

t1ts. That's why I kinda want a S class just to say I did, though a W221 and up would be out of the question due to reliability issues and I can't afford a new(er) one anyway.

I should see if the Jeep lets me do that, it very well might... I know you can do cooled seats and heated wheel for sure but not sure about cool and heat at the same time. Not sure what the point would be but we'll find out.

Lincolns can do that as well. I read a press release once for a lincoln model or possibly even seen a video where they mentioned this feature in lincolns. They said the benefit was that you could dry wet cloths. Apparently the heat and blowing air could dry wet cloths.

For me, it's W222 (current), MMC W220 (2002-05), MMC W126 (1986-92), W221, W140.

Loved my W126, but it was godawful slow. Found out when we were selling it that the wastegate was stuck open, so no boost....

Windows down 24/7 unless it's raining exceptionally hard out. Driving with the windows up makes me feel trapped.

Sunset + topless S2K + good music = perfect.

I think cooled seats would suit me better than heated seats.

But that's partially because I live in Cali . Anywhere else, I'm sure heated seats are amazing.

Agree, love the new one but can't afford one...yet. Those things depreciate like crazy so it won't be too long lol. I'm thinking about grabbing a W220 for at least a little while just to check it off my bucket list but we'll see.

This is not possible in certain areas of the country.

Not with that attitude! Lol. No, but seriously, we're spoiled out here. I freeze when it's below 50* out.

My grandmother's #humblebrag '07 W220 was completely reliable in the time she had it (7 years) but it only had about 45k on it when she sold it.

Yeah, here in the ATX it's always so damn hot. Anything below 55 is heated seats weather

What are heated seats?

Ive never used them. Even in the dead of winter when its -20 out. Cooled/ Ventilated seats are the way to go though. I want a cooled steering wheel. Those hot summer days and driving the car all day i hate sweaty hands from the hot wheel.

Man the Vagon's cooled seats were awesome. Saved me from swamp ass many times when I was dressed up to go somewhere in the summer heat. Plus, a lot of times if I was dressed up it was for a more formal event... so no way to really get a good pinch and roll in if anything was sticking. That feature pretty much solved any heat/sweat related issue down there...

Probably one of the cooler (ha!) features of the Vagon seats...

I love the cooled seats on my Explorer. Especially when every single surface in the vehicle is black.

Makes me wish we'd found a Flex Limited.
Every once in a while, I wish I'd sprung for an F150 Lariat, but I've read that the cooled seats on the 2015+ don't really work well. The few 2013-14 that I test drove worked great, not sure what changed
