Whats your next car after your TL?

Hey guys...

Some of you have bought the TL for life, others for leases, and others to have for a few years and sell off.

What do you think will be your replacement after the TL? I drive a 98' Avalon, and I plan to get the 04' TL. After that I might go for the 05' M3 or M5. What about u all?

TSX, though if I end up test driving the new RL, I think I'll end up with that instead in the next year.

It's too early to say. I'm probably 3 yrs from my next car and a lot can change in three years. What I do know is that my next car will not be a SUV, just not my thing.

Probably a Lexus RX330. Internet sales at two dealers offered me $3500 off msrp without even showing up in person.I have an appt. at the local dealer tomorrow to see what they have. Not as fun a ride as an '05 TL but the silence and comfort are unbelievable. Besides, I have the urge to buy a new car and I will just give it to my wife when the awd TL is available next year.

Well, as some of you guys know, my TL-S got totaled in the rain via a nice-sized puddle in Manhattan last weekend (search the 2nd generation forum for the story if you want) so I'm in the market for some new wheels.
I think I'm going towards the 2004 Pontiac GTO. It's surprisingly pretty roomy and economical inside, and the LS1 engine from the Corvette is an absolute beast. It might be a step down from the TL in terms of luxury, but the first time I get up on it on the highway will let me know that I made a wise choice. For the record, I think I'm gonna go with black with red interior.

Nah I know that, and they are doing some nice things like adding separate dual exhausts and a hood scoop. However, this will only be my second car and I'm not exactly a professional at driving stick, so I'd rather just take the '04 in automatic (only a tenth-second differential in 0-to-60 times between auto and manual) and put some work into the car to make it fly. I would love to get my hands on a 6-speed, but if I'm going to get better at driving stick, it's not gonna come easy driving a car with a Corvette engine in it.

I already have my dream car and a very well built/perfect/dependable/economic car... My 1998 Acura 2.5 TL which i plan driving for the next 52 years of my life according to the Death Clock thread... and my dream car built and out of the factory the same month/day/year i was born... and bought a month later... its a 1983 Cadillac Coupe DeVille with a 4100 HT Electronic Fuel Injection, all leather, power everything... 70,000 miles on it... i've been looking for this car for a while... and finally got it a year ago...

I'll never cheat on my two girls by driving anything else... NEVER!!!

I was considering getting another TL after my GS300 lease is up in November, but I'm spoiled by the Lexus luxury, and will probably get another Lexus after this one. I love the look of the new RL too, but I am pretty sure it's going to be much more than I want to spend initially..I haven't counted out the TL though, I just have to wait and see where the deals are going to be when I'm ready to pull the trigger.

Wait 4-5 five years, if trends in Japanese HP go as the same in the past 3-4 years. Expect TL/G35 with more than 300 HP. Heck, there almost there as we speak. Add some mods and say bye bye to M3's. M5 is a different story.

MADCAT...

The new 2006 M3 will have the current E39 M5 Engine. Basically it will be a 4.4 Litre v8 stuffed into the M3. The 2006 M5 will have a V10 with 508hp. It will be very difficult for the G35 or other cars to compete! (stock to stock that is)

I hear ya, lexus may bring out the IS 400 which has a v8 from the gs 430.

But for my next car, I would probably get a RSX-S, which I always wanting one since they came out, but I might change my mine as I get older.

Kinda liking the Pontiac GTO and the '05 RL. Like others have said, only time will tell. Until then, I can only dream, and be stuck with my TL. J/K

Wow, I didn't know that the GS430's engine was going to be stuffed into that small IS 300. Thats gonna be a quick car. Is there a link, or website where I can read up on that good stuff?
