Question What's your current loan/lease payment and term?

Just curious what the most popular terms are for loans and leases here.

You can select more than one option.

Hey, what about those of us with 42- or 48-month leases?
And do payments include or exclude taxes-- that makes a big difference, like here in California where the tax rate is between 7.75% and 8.25% depending on county.

Edit: Poll asks what we are "paying," so I will assume taxes and fees are included.

Yes, I bought used - an '04 CPO with 16k on it. Total was $25k including tax and I put $9k down. Acura had a sweet 3.9% APR at the time, so I made out pretty well.

290 a month for 60 months at 3.9%. I'll probably end up paying the car off within 36 months(next year).

I debated about whether or not to lease the 07 AV6 or pay ~125/mo more to just purchase an identical 06 AV6 but, I came to the realization (with the wife's help) that I enjoy flipping my cars (so to speak) every few years. (If I were still into modding my ride then, leasing would definitely be out of the question.) That coupled with me being a daily train commuter, makes leasing the better choice for now.

EVERY new car purchase (and some used) we made has been with 60 month terms. Only our Quest was kept long after making that 60th payment. IIRC, all the others were traded well in advance of coming to term....which helps us justify our decision to lease.

the funny thing is she likes to be in something new all the time too...me i'll just slice something else off the suspension and i'm good. after we move back to va, we may go the dark side with a lease, since the boss is probibly getting a job that gives a company lease.

I don't think a 60 month term is wise if you put nothing down, your upside down for to much of the loan, my

I was thinking the exact same thing. Most loans these days are 60 months but people don't pay them off early. And then they go to trade.. And they're upside down on the loan.
