What's the mod potential for the TSX's KA24 engine?

Is there a JDM counterpart or is the engine only used in the Euro Accord and the TSX?

Curious what sort of mods are or will be out there for it. Since it's a Honda 4banger it should get better aftermarket support than their V6s ever get, right?

I need to get rid of my old Honda which although it still runs perfectly (no surprise there) ,I have to admit I am really looking forward to a car with some options in it .I will be getting a white nav car as this is really the only way the car is worth it in my eyes.I hope to have this car by summer .Jens

And yes there will be lots of mods for this motor as it is popping up in all sorts of Honda cars .It is a close cousin of the RSX engine and that has a very strong aftermarket already .Jens

alooooooooooot of potential for this car, w/the potential that the gains will be better on the tsx than on the rsx-s due to the extra displacement of the tsx's engine.

Wow nice, but hmmm... 500lb weight difference b/w RSX-S and TSX. Maybe should consider RSX-S with 2.4L block....

WOW….

So all you need to do is throw piles of CASH, TIME and LABOR into the engine and it will be as powerful as a STOCK 6-Cylinder from Honda/Acura and many of the competitors.

Way to go Acura

o come on, Shawn, u know how this works...a car like the RSX that weighs about 900 pounds less with as much power as the CLS will track what kinds of times??? granted, the TSX weighs only about 300 pounds less, but look at what u get...a FULLY Japanese-made car...even the RSX is only 95% made/assembled in Japan...and tell me how the CLS interior kicks the TSX's a$$ :shakehd:

in a way, Honda/Acura's smart for using 4-bangers...b/c the aftermkt can really slap on some good mods...and the cost to the consumer is lower b/c yer purchasing a 4-banger rather than a 6-cyl car...so everyone's happy

When we make like 280whp to 300whp (NA) on the CL-S, then let's see what the 4-bangers say. I know you can make 280whp in a 4-cylinder.. but the car won't be streetable at all!

Uh, I'd like to see you race a RSX-S with K24-A upgrade and bolt-ons and ECU. Not even talking about a turbo or supercharger on it. Then again, I'd prefer RWD or AWD when modding so I'm not sure I'd do anything Acura when thinking about mod/performance potential.

You can't put down Honda N/A 4-cylinders man............

it's what Honda Motor Co. is all about.....and Acura by extension

That's what being a tuner is all about. The fun of taking your model car and making it as fast as, if not faster than another car either of the same model or different.
