The rated output of this charger is 950mA which is more than enough to quickly charge anything you have. Also I use it for my android phone if I am streaming anything including netflix and it keeps up with the battery drain quite well. For the price it can't be beat and it looks good too.

If you can't tell how popular this charger is, then just look at how many reviews it has

Ive found that regular USB chargers cant move enough juice to charge up power-hungry smart phones. I bought the Motorola charger posted above about 4 months ago and never looked back.

Been using the Duo for about a month with no complaints. Every once in a while newegg.com drops the price to $10 so keep an eye out.

I have this one as well.

Things get charged. Car hasn't caught fire, yet.

I have one of those cheap adapters that gives you 3 9v outlets and 2 usb plugs. It is a piece of junk. I don't know if it's limited to this particular model or a characteristic of all adapters with female usb ports but it is not grounded well or something and causes a very noticeable whine I'm using it to power my fm modulator.

I have the Motorola charger also (didn't know it was so popular). It was the OEM charger for my old Motorola Droid, and I still use it with my new phone. It looks cool too!

I said smart phone

Ive ran into that problem with every Android phone Ive had. When using a usb car charger, the phone sees it as a regular USB port since the data pins arent shorted, so it cuts power draw down to about 450-500mah. You could always manually short out those pins, but I was lazy and just spent the $5 on the Moto charger.

But not all Android phones are that way, my HTC and Samsungs are however. Motorolas, LGs, etc may be different. One way to check on an Android phone, go into the dialer and dial *#*#4636#*#* then click battery status (Settings->About Phone->Status works too). If you are plugged into a USB car charger and it shows "Charging AC", then your phone doesnt care. But if it shows "Charging USB", then its probably going to take forever to charge.

That thing is fucking massive.

I have a slim one that the 12V cover can still go over when I pull the usb cable. It charges my phone up during commute.. not a full charge but enough to get me through the day. Plus.. I can close my center console cover without disconnecting.
