06 ZHP vert = win (in my opinion) They're sounding a bit desperate to move it if you read what they're offering besides the price, but I'm having a hard time thinking anyone should pay $30k for it today.

But they are fun in a different way. I was anti-vert for the longest time for the reasons you listed, and when the weather is right it adds a whole new dimension to the driving experience. That's not to say I couldn't enjoy driving with out it, but is not without virtue.
Same here. I always thought they were lame/poseur'ish, and some really are, but an S2k for example hardy fits that description. Probably not a 330Ci ZHP either.

Went and looked at it earlier. It was in pretty nice condition overall. The panels and bumpers all looked straight and original and there was no curb rash on any of the wheels. Paint was badly cared for though...way too many runs though the scratch and wash for a bright red car. The headlight lenses looked like they'd been cleaned with scotch-brite pads
Compared to my lowly 04 325Ci the car actually kind of felt like garbage from behind the wheel. Throws on the ZHP shift linkage were noticably shorter but felt really hesitant and balky...didn't want to go into first gear at all when I first got in it which kind of left a bad impression right away. The clutch pedal was mushier and I could tell the brakes needed major attention...needed too much pedal pressure. Suspension was definitely stiffer/sportier but I had a harder time feeling the extra 51 hp that I thought I would. It honestly didn't feel like their was a lot of extra fire going on under the hood even if it did have a sportier exhaust note.
The sales guy was pretty much a douche nozzle. I can't believe they let dudes like that work at a high end Euro car dealer. Their numbers were retarded on both ends so I thanked him for the test drive and basically told him I wasnt interested. (He called within 5 mintues of me leaving with a miraculously better offer on my trade in
)
I think if I even do buy another E46 it's going to have to be an M3. There just wasn't enough "wow" factor compared to what I already have.

You know what the more I look at it I dont think I would pay more than 21k for it actually. 29k is way to much but remember its on a BMW lot there probably is the same BMW on another lot say for example chevy and there asking lower than 29
Definately not worth the money at this time....HOWEVER, the car is certified, so it does have some extra value packed into it because of the certification. I want to say in the dead of the winter and it being certified, that car is worth $26-$27k.
Ok ok, how about this one?

Why would you do that. That car was sitting there for awhile to.

I've seen more than a few E46 M3 verts in the mid $20k range with "doable" mileage. I'd be hardpressed to downgrade for more money.
