What was the worst speeding ticket you ever got?
I got in a lot of trouble in the past for speeding on a Yamaha R6. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience.
160 in a 55..... arrested

95 in a 65 (was rushing to get some items for a biology project from a store 10+ miles way that was going to be closing early-the next 10 minutes-for the Christmas holiday). Cop was in a generous mood so he dropped it to a 10-mph over.

Two-charge ticket: 1) 89 in a 55, 2) reckless driving. I crossed four lanes of traffic (from the far right lane to the far left lane) during rush hour and back again without signaling while going 90. The folly of youth.
160 in a 55?!
I think the fastest I've ever driven is 120 in a 55 on the interstate, on a long straight.
I've never gotten a speeding ticket though
Just one stupid ticket from our worthless small-town cops for a burned out headlight.
edit:
Silly, everyone knows you turn on your turn signal, then cross all 4 lanes!

my worst was caught going 79 in a 50, but the speedo said more than that. btw that's in km/h
Written up for 70 mph on the freeway, which had a 55 mph limit in 1981.
My car had SCCA numbers on the windows for the Autocross and I was running late, so I may have been driving a teensy bit faster than the 70 mph the CA Highway Patrol officer wrote on the ticket-- still made it in time to run my car's class.
Explaining the ticket to my parents was an unexpectedly relaxed process, although I was a juvenile and my dad had to visit the traffic judge with me.

48 in a 40. I was on my way to school at 6:30am and my front left tire had been slowly leaking air, I stopped at the gas station and filled it to specs. I pulled out of the gas station and got up to speed fairly quickly to check the difference I felt. Next thing I know, a cop in a Charger is on my ass pulling me over. There was one truck behind me... no other cars in sight.

The last time I received a speeding citation was back in the early 90s and I think it was a 78mph in a 55-zone deal on the Garden State Parkway while in my 94 626 V6.As I tend to pick and choose where/when I speed on highways (only), I have fared well in not getting speeding tickets over the past decade or so.

72 in a 40, that was about 9 years ago. I've since come to terms with the fact that I was a little asshole when I was in my late teens & early 20's.
My worst one was 68 in a 40...im still convinced the cop gunned my buddy in his mustang then pulled me over for it. Not saying I wasnt speeding, but I was driving an 88 Accord at the time, and there was no way in hell I was doing 68 where he said he gunned me.
A kid I used to work with got bagged for doing 148 in a 55...funny thing is the cop told him thats the fastest anyones been stopped for in NH that he knew of, and that if he wouldve kept going he wouldve never got caught...lol

The reason I asked was because I wanted to know if I got off easy. Which after talking to a couple of people outside of the forum it seemed that I did.
The reason I got caught was pretty much just bad luck. By the time the cop spun around and chased me I was so far ahead he really didn't have a chance. Five exits later I pulled off the highway and by chance he did too, so he could turn around and go back to his hiding spot. When he got off I was stuck behind a traffic jam of cars and trucks at a light. I went down a side street and did the dumbest thing I could have done which was to hide behind a gas station. I panicked and this led to me getting caught. This happened years ago... back when I was young and stupid. Now I'm all grown up at 23 yrs old. haha
spun out and went into a field. wreckless driving, too fast for conditions, speeding, and an accident report.
beat the wreckless driving and the speeding and ended up with too fast for conditions. i was so happy. i would have been fucked

worst i ever got nailed for 60 in a 45. 15 over didn't get me for reckless op. but it was 300 buck ticket. The state highway patrol that nailed me was on the road back to headquarters. i was running behind to meet a buddy of mine.
Local city road, maybe a mile from my house. Total speed trap, errr, "enformcement action".
They were picking people off from the top of a rise - just when you could see them, they'd gun you.
Then they'd pointed you into the YMCA parking lot, where you parked next to the other 4 or 5 or 6 cars that were getting ticketed.
:bastards:
^^ok
but how the hell do you beat a double over the limit (and over 100 at that) ticket? I seriously would like to know.
I've never gotten a speeding ticket
My only ticket was exhibition of speed. Wet pavement + RWD = temptation

Like I said, the folly of youth.
