IMO, Grand Nationals and SHOs can't be sleepers, since they have lots of visual differences to distinguish themselves from average Regals and Tauri. Anything that screams "I'm a badazz fast car..." can't be a sleeper, so I'd disqualify anything with hood scoops, side scoops, wings or body kits.
The Sentra qualifies, even if it started as an SE-R.

GN can't be a sleeper, but an SHO can (as long as it's a lot faster then stock)
A buick regal T-type can be a sleeper (GN that's painted non-black)

To me, being a sleeper is all about visual appearance. It doesn't need to look like a total piece of crap, but just look like it probably wouldn't pose a threat.
then when it takes off and you do hear the SC or the turbo and you know you got swindled, that's when the definition of sleeper comes in
