What is the reason that ACURA doesn't have a coupe?

I am thinking that TL coupe would be a good catch.
Same as TSX coupe.
They are beautiful now, and I think that the coupe edition would be good too.
But as far as I can see, there is no intention that ACURA is gonna introduce the TL coupe.

Look at the huge success of the G37 coupe.

I mean recently. RDX is kind of last generation.
I really like my TL and the third generation is quite sporting.

Why question something when Acura has already chosen their route.
you wont be able to change it.

plus, re-tooling a factory COST lots of money.

Doesn't the road map plan on turning the ILX platform into a coupe version? Read: RSX below.

Because it don't sell. Event the accord coupe don't sell. Why would a car company design & market a car that don't sell when they have tons of 4 doors that do?

Given Acura's general direction, any Acura coupe (exc. NSX) would end up being Accord based and compete mainly against the Accord Coupe EX-L V6.

When the Altima coupe debuted, Infiniti was transitioning to the G37 Coupe....the latter being clearly a step above the former.

Really? I paid the same for my brand new G37 coupe as I did for my brand new 03 CL-S.

Just like Integra did to the civic? yet they both sold reasonably well right? lol

Honda/Acura would probably never make a coupe to compete against the G coupe as its only a V6 and honda's main goal is eco friendly cars (MPG).

Accord Coupe competes the Altima Coupe as they both come 4 and 6 cycl.

Whoever said ILX being coupe later, its based on the civic subframe so it won't compete against it either.

For some reason this discussion remind me of this dialogue exchange in the movie Mystery Men:

The Shoveller: Don't start that *again*. Lance Hunt wears glasses. Captain Amazing *doesn't* wear glasses.
Mr. Furious: He takes them off when he transforms.
The Shoveller: That doesn't make any sense, he wouldn't be able to see.

fwd versus rwd. Almost every Altima coupe I see on the road is a 4-banger CVT driven by a chick. I dont think people cross chow the Altima and G37 coupes. Different cars for different people. But, we know Acura would never make a RWD coupe anyways....

I think that is why Nissan made the Altima a FWD car. So as to not steal sales from their brother Infiniti. But Acura could do it. But as pointed out, they want to be the thoughtful luxury (read, 4 cylinder).

Hmm, there is the CR-Z, Accord coupe, Civic coupe. Those don't really sell in large numbers. An Acura coupe as great as it sounds probably won't sell.

Lets face it, a lot of people claim to be willing to 'buy' a vehicle if it actually built. Few of us really do so.
