CVT & Vtec

I was trying to remember if Honda/Acura had any car with CVT tranny that has Vtec.

How does that even work? does that mean Vtec will last..... forever??

Well there have been several over the years. But they've never been a performance DOHC VTEC, instead its about staggering the intake valves for more torque and emissions. Honda misleadingly calls it i-VTEC but it is not the same implementation as the i-VTEC on the K20.

The CR-Z with a CVT isn't bad and the electric motor's torque helps but the six speed manual is much quicker and far more fun.

All I remember was wanting those light ass rims for my Integ... don't recall if they would've cleared my brakes though?

Those HX wheels were crazy light. The Insight wheels were light as hell too - but they didnt look particularly appealing.

CVTs suck. I drive one everyday. Hate it with a passion.
