What range are these payments in?

2000 dollars down payment

300 dollar monthly payment

for either 36 or 48 months

the math only adds up to 16,000 =( but i see commericals on TV of accords and such that are like 220 and they are worth around 20k. Would this be enough to get a decent used car? I dont know how buying used car works, so im just asking.

in finance class, we learned you're missing one more value

"i" or the intrest rate...

i see your trying to get the 'future value' or is it 'present value'

Also, are you talking about a lease or to buy... Different payments on those...

I like the payment calculators at http://www.bankrate.com

Rough rule of thumb: 15K @ 5% for 5 years is a little over $300 per month.
