What makes the car "tossable"?
Btw.. the Type-S above spanked the G35 and IS350 by a couple of seconds.
Settle down everyone.. first thing first.. did you bring your obnoxious bluetooth ear pieces, color mirrored sunglasses, and salmon color polos?
Let's begin..

Where's JC's cock-meter when you need it.

Next, the following distance between you and the car in front of you will be greatly reduced, even though there are ten cars in front of you going the exact same speed.

Some BMW drivers - not all
I had my share of M3's in the past and never dove like that (but mainly because I drove honda's since I was 16 - mainly Preludes
I read lots of good reviews on the BMW training - let's see if it is that good.
I will also attend the M tour day where you get to experience all the M's at the track - so that should be fun as well
The S2000 came out the winner in both comparisons
To add more clarification to my original question, I was talking to a racing instructor and he advised me to take the TL-S to the track the first time and not the S2000 as he saw the S2000 biting many beginners at the track - and he also said I will learn more pushing the TL-S vs the S
If you want to play it safe, I'd recommend doing AutoX and then graduating to a full track day. Not sure what the BMW driving courses consist of, but I think a full day of AutoX in an S2000 would teach you the same if not more understanding of what car control is.
I did it in the reverse order and I wish I had done it the other way around

Can you take a picture of your TLS and S2000 with bacon and broccoli?

I am not debating how slow the twins are... but that's not the reason it's hard to kill yourself at 8/10ths. They are easy to drive and forgiving at the limit.
Hell, in general a car that understeers (vs. over) will be more forgiving.

update
update - sold the TL-S (for more than I bought it for) - there are some crazy people out there willing to pay a premium for a TL-s 6 speed - and landed a really good deal on a 2005 RSX Type S
Now that car is toss-able
it has urethane bushings and other little upgrades to eliminate the understeer as well as little performance upgrades to give it more oomph - not sure now if there is a huge difference between that and the S2000
Wow - it is that close in power and handling to the S2000 - I am very surprised - will take it to the track this Monday to test the limits

My first track day was certainly not a disappointment, just had 1 spinout with a cloud of dust in my interior
- I still have sand in my air vents & other parts of my dash.I'll see if I can dig up the run, just need to find the SD card.

The RSX-S is a nice little car, but no, it's not comparable to S2K at all. You need to spend substantial amount of $$ in mods to make it comparable to the S2K.
Just have fun with it. It's a FWD so shouldn't be too hard to drive fast. Give us some review after the track day!
This was like early last year at Chuckwalla Raceway. I don't think I had uploaded the video. lol I'll dig through the files later tonight. I think I have Tyler in my video but it was the session later in the day.
Man, it was FUN that day. Just too far. I don't think I would ever go back to Chuckwalla. That track was way too far for a single day trip. And this is coming from me who thinks Buttonwillow is not too far from LA at all for a single track day trip. haha
I will post pics when I get a chance - yes the RSX will be a daily - it just feels way lighter and way more nimble than the TL
I wanted to give the TL-S a chance by installing tighter suspension and removing some basic stuff to make it lighter - but was worried that after spending this money, it will still not be to my liking.
but drive an RSX-S with an intake,3" exhaust, and tuned - and come back and tell me it's not comparable to a stock S2000 in power
Handling is very subjective but it does handle really really good - it totally surprised me when I drove it hard
Car was owned by an older guy for the last 8 years - and it was not molested
Yes it's not apples to apples - but I bought the car that way and I can dare say it is as fast as the S2000 - or at least close - I drive both regularly
This got me thinking - what it would be like if the S2000 gets the same upgrades - intake, bigger exhaust and a tune?
I heard it will not make such a big difference - but not sure???

from all BMW drivers.

missed this!
