That's why I would never spend $5k+ on a set of wheels.......like HREs, etc.

the most expensive ones are at least forged and 3-peice. Bend a lip and then just replace the lip. No need to buy a whole need rim.

cheap wheels = cheap to replace. I bet that if I had 3pc forged wheels and the same thing happened, there would have been significantly less damage, yet it still would have costed more to fix.

well, I look all around the area and i can't find any flaw with the tire.... so that would probably means its ok, right? I guess that i won't really know for sure until i get the replacement wheel and bring it to the place to have them put the tire on it.

one piece wheels CAN be straitened. However, with that amount of lip disfiguration, Im not sure it could be fixed and look right in the end. Sorry to hear of your misfortune.....Ive had a few bent rims in my day.

Ive had that happend to two rims at once. They were 18's. I had them fixed, but the lip may become discolored due to the heating. Might as well get a new one if you can.

Thats what happens when you wrap a rubberband around your wheel and call it a tire. If you get the right offset, you can get a meatier tire, even if it does mess with the speedo a lil, it will save your wheel.

Yea, probably bubbled. Ouch! I would be balling my eyes out if that was me.
Those rims do look kind of nice.
What kind are they? Have any pics of the whole wheel on the car?

i beg to differ. the cost of fixing the lip of a 3-piece wheel is about $180 at most
i doubt you can find a 19" RH C2 Evo for that much

A brand new hoop for a fogred wheel is $180?

you might be able to get it fixed for that much.... but i was quoted $120 to fix this wheel (i chose not to bc it never looks the same)... so you can't compare repair prices here. When i meant was that a brand new hoop for a forged wheel would probably be more than a brand new entire cast wheel.

Wow! Those are nice looking rims too! Look pretty good on your car.
Sorry about the damage.
I guess the only thing to do is to dish out $$ for a new rim

Some people have taken a claim up with the city for unusually large potholes and got reimbursed for the damage.

I was skeptical that this would work, but I remember reading a couple threads where some people on here had done it.

it's worth a try

I coulda told you that RH wheels do NOT hold up well to pothole impacts! One of the "softer" kinds of wheels out there, next to Ray's...

i dont know where you are from, but there are places that can fix that.

there is a place in florida called turnbacs (spelling?) that can repair the wheel and refinish it for ~120 USD.
