What do you think of the Subaru WRX?

I personally wouldn't buy one - I think it's ugly, and I have a problem with 4-door sedans. But, it seems like a real screamer (0-60 in 5.7), and at around $26k, a bargain.

One word--Ugly!

When I saw the front end I imagined a much different rear of the car that was a lot sportier looking. Now I know why all of their ads just show the front of the car coming at you.

I think it's sweet!! One of the girls at work just got one. The lights are a little big, but in person they're not too bad. Plus, that car has HUGE aftermarket support. My friend brought in a magazine from Japan, and I've already seen 3 different body kits and 2 different headlights. So if I ever bought it, first thing I would do is fix those headlights. Considering the car only costs $24,999, it's a steal. Personally, I like the class of Acura, but if I was going for performance only at a resonable price, this car would be definately be on the list!!

I thinks it's ugly too but there's a huge aftermarket support for it like somebody said earlier. There's a big turbo kit for it that pumps out 300+rwhp. Ultra quick launches in a lightweight body with 300+hp. What more could you ask for.

I test drove one when I was shopping for a car about three weeks ago. Though I'm not too fond of four doors, I did like the seats, the aftermarket support, the quickness, and the AWD. However, even though the car costs less than my CL-S by a few grand, it doesn't come close in the number of toys compared to similar priced cars. I also didn't like the noticible turbo lag.

Though I gotta tell ya, you're writing on the CL forum about a Rally car. They're both totally different cars. The CL gives you luxuary, class, and speed. The Rally is just Rally. Make no mistake about it.

I don't know why they went that route with the body styling. When I drove it I was firly impressed, but when the car is shifted from first to second after redlining first, it drops too low in the rpm range and the turbo has to spool back up. I'm sure that could easily be changed. The car I drove was outfitted with the short throw shifter, nice and tight. Drove it hard and it like it, suspension needs some work. I dig the Momo steering wheel. They need to offer leather.

I think it's a great deal for what you get, but the styling is really needs some work. When I first saw a picture of it, the lights just stood out way too much. They're HUGE!

For some reason, Subarus have always been ugly. I just can't figure out what people see in them.

It's a cult following.

I like it. But, I'm more excited over the Lancer Evo.
