What do you think?

I'm going to be getting another car in the near future, and I'm thinking about a 2000-2002 Honda Accord Coupe.

The thing is, most of the ones I see are driven by girls. Do you think they are girl cars?

There is alot of aftermarket parts for the car too, so you can change the look and all.. I would still keep the TL-S. Make sure it's a v6 tho!

Yeah, I will definitely keep the TLS. People keep talking about the transmission, blah, blah, blah. I've decided if it goes out, I'll just get it replaced. I love my car that much.

The Accord with definitely be a V6. Don't know if I could handle the acceleration on a 4. Its my favorite Accord too. This time, I want Silver/Black for my colors.

What should I add to the car without making it look like a street racer but to sport it up a little?

I own a 2000 accord v6 coupe in black, and I love it. It has 134000 miles on the original transmission, and never a single problem.

Accord coupes are great cars, if your looking for a good, economical cruiser there is nothing wrong with a 4cyl coupe, they get better fuel economy and have more reliable transmissions, though I would get a manual with either the I4 or the V6. This is not what I would call a chick car regardless of the engine, if you like it and its in your budget, go with it.

who cares if you see mostly girls driving the car.

i don't think it's a girl's car. a lot of my guy friends had that car.

(though my gf drives that car. )

i like it a lot. in fact, it's my second favorite accord coupe (after the current design).

but personally, i'd rather get a 5.5g maxima.

Never really liked the '00-'02 Accord coupes that much. Too much plastic in the back. I've seen some really nice done up ones while in Toronto but the new Accord coupe (stock) blows them away. Once more parts show up on the market for the new ones ... bye-bye 6th gen Accord.

Don't worry about that. If you're a guy, just tell everyone you're gay.
As a guy who is secure with what little masculinity my wife, kids and job have not taken from me, I would have no issues driving around in a 4-cylinder Accord.
Then again, I like Miatas too...

Getting a V6 auto Accord is like getting a... TL or CL...
I'd avoid the V6 for that reason.

The 4-cyl ones are a real crapshoot. Some of them last forever while others fail before 100k.

Well its nice and I like it.

Its Silver with Black interior. Leather seats (can't remember if they are heated) sunroof, 6 CD-Changer, power seats, V6, Automatic, looks like TLS rims, dual exhaust, foglights and a bunch of other stuff.

Looks clean, going to see it Saturday.

What's wrong with your TLS? It has all of these, and has the Acura name to it

My Accord has 131,500 miles, and its still running like new. I've made sure to keep up with oil changes and what not, and its pretty much the only maintenance i've had to do. Drop, rims, tint, are all you really need. If you're feeling more ambitious, AEM V2 intake and Magnaflow Cat-back exhaust are a nice and easy topper. As for transmission problems, they are covered by Honda up until 107,500 miles. I was also told by the guy that sold me my Honda recently, that sometimes Honda will work with you and help to pay for some of the new transmission if you aren't too much over that warranty milage.

i had an 02 v6 coupe that i bought new and had for 4 yrs before i gave it to my bro a couple yrs ago. its still on the original tranny. i had it lowered with comptech exhaust, projector HIDs, wheels, LED tails, tint... it still looks good to this day and i always got compliments on it....

never had any tranny problems, still works fine today. brakes suck. very front heavy, the pleather was hard, sunroof rattled... avg 21 mpg everyday driving

i dont miss it at all, my scion is more fun to drive even with 100 hp less

that was one of my favorite cars when it came out.

For some reason I associate it in white as a girls car, and not so much in any other color.

But I knew a guy with a white one, just dropped and some rims, and it looked awesome.
