what do you guys think of the Scion Tc?

Its 2.4 liter 160hp/163 tq. 17-18" rims. Styling isn't bad. I'd take it over any car out right now in the price range (starting 16+K). Reason i'm askin for input is MIGHT sell the CL. I was talkin to Rezurex and he told me what dealers have offered for his car and shit just doesn't get any better. I haven't test driven one but anyone who has seen the car in person or has driven it pls chime in. Thanks. -john

It is really good for a $16-17k car.

i already put down deposit for a white one (5mt) and the car should be here within 4 weeks.

For 16k (stick) u get 2.4L which is like a small V6, 2 sunroofs (even tho one of them is only for show), LED sidemirror, 17" rims" Mp3 player, 6dick changer, aluminium center console, and etc... the best part i like about Tc is it has a SHIT load of space for what it is. It is a coupe and when you put the rear seat down, it has as much space as small SUV. Also you can put VERY VERy wide tires on those.. especially the rear. there is a demo car i saw with axis rims that it has 255 40 18 with plenty space left to fit a 275 30 19.

Tc looks so much better in person. The front end looks like 5series mix with IS and the overall shape looks IS coupe (if there is a IS coupe)

You will not regret for getting one, especially with Toyota's reliability.

I think they look pretty nice, and I'm sure there will be an eclectic selection of aftermarket parts available

______________

It has been avaliable for a very long time, even before Tc was introduced. because it is using Camry's 4 cylinder engine.

Tc is probably the quickest in its price range. 0-60 in 7 secs and 1/4 in low 15s.

I really like them for what they are. I'd have to drive one, but I'd seriously consider over a civic right now.

I'd actually look at one but I think I'm finally done with FWD for now.

tC, I like...if the CL-S gets too hefty on gas-hogging and haterism, I'd consider one.

It's a very nice car for the $$, but it's a bit heavy for what it is, so performance won't be too great. (It weighs over 3000lbs)

I've read a few reviews, and the average 0-60 I've seen is 7.5, which is decent, but I'm a performance buff, so I'd probably go with a SRT-4 personally. The SC will help, but will only add 40hp, which would probably only put it in the high 6's.

damn, so far nothing but good things about this car. I didn't even think about the aftermarket support. Even w/ the base at 16K plus SC, it would only come out to around 20K. I think its a good deal. oonowindoo... keep us updated when the car arrives. I didn't know it was over 3k lbs tho. Looks so much lighter. I dunno, i think this might be a good car since my wife won't let me go any faster anyway. Its still a decent car that makes good power. Thanks guys.

full length skyroof, sideview mirror turn signals, good styling, extremely affordable, aftermarket support, best engine in its class. I would definitely consider getting it. Especially over a civic or corolla.

Knowing I can get a used CLS 6speed for ~$20K is really killing the idea of me getting a new econo car. I keep comparing them to a CLS.

That put aside it is an excellent car, I just wish it had nav!

yea, the looks are def growing on me. My wife just bought her Corolla-S and they had a dark gray one outside. I'm soooo close to getting rid of the CL. I just can't justify paying almost 600 a month for this car and it ain't worth shit. I'll prob go test drive one this weekend. Even if this car turns out to have too much plastic and funky interior (what car doesn't right), it still has a kickass engine, 2 sunroofs, led signals on the mirrors, 17" rims and a tranny that won't blow. I can forsee my CL being sold as we speak.

I'm wondering if we could do a straight trade. I mean MSRP on that thing is like $17k. I bet a 2002 CL-S can go for that much.

eh...I'm sick of the CL and the problems I've been having. Plus I may be commuting farther to work so I need a something that is more fuel efficient. If I do buy a Scion it would be my daily driver. I've got my eyes on the S2k as well...for those track days. Or of course there is the Legacy GT.

The Tc is an amazing coupe for the dough, toyota hit the mark similar to Nissan with the G35. People want coupes, they just have to look damn good or different. Otherwise, why buy a coupe?
