Coincidently I saw an R8 the other day on the way to lunch. I had forgotten about them until I saw it. Let me tell you, in person it's incredible looking. At first glance I thought it was a Venron. Oh, and I liked the commercial.

It was one of the best for the whole game - very clever. Even though very few people will be able to afford an R8, it gets the Audi name out there. Even my wife (not a car person) liked it.

Any commercial with an R8 in it is awesome. I saw one of these things on the freeway. It is so frickin beautiful.

I came into work today and my partner asked me if i knew what the R8 was.

He said he never even heard about it till he saw the commercial. He was all giddy over it.. till i told him its close to 100k.

That was my wife's exact reaction...one of these days I'll have to broaden her movie horizons. When I told her about what it mean, she sort of understood, but still didn't get it completely.

They need more commercials like that. Audi is a top tier luxury brand around the world, but when the average American hears about them the response is usually met with a "Huh, Oddy-what?" Hopefully, commercials featuring cars like the R8 will at least put them on the radar with the average person beyond the usual car enthusiast. That R8 growl is divine.

Great ad. Pics don't do the R8 justice you have to see it in person to fully appreciate it.
