Porsche 911 Turbo reportin on duty sounds very good but i cannot hear or feel the soul or passion I felt with ferrari or lamborghini last year during exotic test drive...I'm even considering changing for a f430 spyder or a gallardo spider not so sure even though none of these will ever match the 911's speed!

 

For me nothing road legal beats the sound of a 8 cylinder Ferrari, due mostly to the flat plane crank and high rev limit. Of these in non-modded form the 355 stands head and shoulders above the rest, although any of them with test pipes are amazing. Turbos tend to flatten the note and 10 and 12 cylinder engines though they can be stunning aurally they are closer to truck exhausts when compared to a flat plane V8. There have been an awful lot of Ferrari's sold just for the sound. I love Porches but the air cooled engines never moved me even a little, the best of the lot is the current GT3 which with test pipes moves the sound near the exotic range.
