So the total cost was $2,400 and that's everything. I haven't seen the bill yet but i'm worried they might have done some extra stuff on it and they are making me pay for it. My sister's bf was the one who brought the car to his mechanic and all. And I don't really trust him. I'll post back tomorrow and tell you guys what was on the bill.

If you don't trust him then why did you went with him first place? do it on your own, that's what I would do.

My advice would be don't listen to him just because he is your sister's bf, or because he has "hook up".

I had no choice. It was my sister's car and she was the one who went to him. I think the car is named under him too.

To be fair, you may have to just trust your sister and her bf. After all, you did damage her car. For climbing an island or center median, $2400.00 doesn't sound too bad.

So i got the bill today and it did cost $2,400. Here's a list...

Labour - Replace transmission and sub frame $450.00
Parts - Used sub frame - $625.00
Parts - Used transmission - $770.00
Alignment - $85.00
Labour - repair frame - $150.00
Plus $268 tax

I guess the TL has to wait an extra month so i can get this money back. lol I'm still going to try and get the car in May or maybe earlier than that. One thing for sure..i will never do what i did that night ever again. I've learnt my lesson.

Same in BC, even if nothing comes of it, they need the papers (that show you've filed a report).

Car insurance is handled by the government here in BC as well. It's quite interesting...

Below is a thread in the TL section with a guy that had to replace the sub frame after hitting a curb. Looks like this is a $2000 to $5000 replacement. Looking at this and you got a tranny and alignment, your amount is a really good deal.
