Don't know how I've missed this thread, but dang, the IS-F is coming along beautifully! Love the vent and instrument cluster surrounds. Really pulls the interior silver accents together. And the wheels are beautiful. Can't wait to see the final product with the refinish.
Only things left I will probably do is a simple ABS rear diffuser with matte black vinyl in the center area of the bumper, a rear windows spoiler, a front lip, and maybe headers. I also have a sub and amp laying around and I could buy a slim IS specific box for the trunk for not much and install it myself. However for now I will probably take a break and focus on getting the TSX back on the road.

Another Update:
So my wheels are back with the new finish "Matte Gunmetal" on and put them on about a week ago. This past weekend I finally got around to installing at rear coils after the fronts had already been on for about 3000 miles. I only dropped the rear of the car 1/4in over stock. Any lower will require fender rolling and personally I like the look as is and it is my DD anyways so I don't want two completely slammed cars.
Also recently installed the new carbon sports steering wheel on the car to go with the rest of the carbon bits in the interior.
I am now starting to believe the front wheels are to conservative and playing with the idea of ordering .5in wider lips for the front to make them closer to flush like the rears.
Sorry for the crappy cellphone pics. Full shoot hopefully coming this week or weekend.

lol...i didn't even know this thread was about ur IS-F...guess i missed the whole 'trend' with the thread titles.
anyways...my suggestion is to go back to the pink wheels without question. it was so purdy Jason!
i recall a ways back when my fiancee mentioned seeing an IS-F (yes she knows the difference) with pink wheels...my reaction was . haha...i'm all but certain that was u. who would've known...lol.
and as i already stated...car looks good. i also think u made the right choice on the steering wheel. i think i like that one better than the other one (not ur OEM one...the other aftermarket one).

So I really want to do headers on the IS-F but I don't know if I can do headers with the exhaust I chose. I mean it is ridiculously awesome however it might be unbearable to hear on a daily basis. For reference to how loud watch the lights in the building across the street in the first video come on and someone come and look out the window.

Holy crap that's loud.
I'm not sure doing that on your daily driver is a good idea.

It's so weird to hear a Lexus sound so monsterous, but so freaking cool! That would be nuts as a DD.

So been thinking of blacking out my window trim for a while now. This car is kinda my inspiration for wanting to do it in the first place.
So yesterday I decided to do one side of the car and leave the other car without it so I could decide which I like more.
Here are some comparison shots.

Blacked out looks wayyy better. You should black out the chrome grille surround too like the other picture. But I would leave the emblem chrome. I think blacked out emblems look weird.

I usually love blacking out anything on a car. But on your car, I don't know why but I like the chrome one better. Maybe it's your rim color that's complimenting it.
Can't go wrong with either, man. Great looking car!

I think the black trim looks cleaner, and brings attention to the parts that really matter. It's the details that count.

isn't there a embless grill that they make for your IS? my old room mate use to have one on his white IS...not sure if u know him in Clublexus forums or not but he goes by Isuxel...the black trim is better..i'd only leave the chrome trimmings if i was going for a VIP style look..but it looks to me like u're doing more of a sporty...as for the exhaust, it would definitely open it up..and the gains on a V8 is awesome..i have a friend who also owns an IS-F if u need any advice...lmk..good luck bro

Yeah the grill and badges are in the eventual plans. There is a company in that makes everything in a color called black pearl. This is another USB ISF with it all installed. My only worry is then do the headlights stand out to much. I wish I could get black chrome headlights. I could always paint them matte gunmetal like my wheels though.

Normally I'd say black it out, but with the color of your car and the non-winter wheels, I say leave it chrome. Even if you had black wheels like your inspiration car, I'd say leave it chrome. Black and blue, especially that color blue, just doesn't work for me .

Whats up with RDX owners?

I like it blacked out, but I hate chrome and especially "chrome" covered plastic.
