A lot more has happened with the car in the past two weeks. Turns out I was working on the wrong bank o2 sensor. Figured it out while working on testing the wire continuity and the wire colors were wrong. Oh well. Was trying to go too fast and wasted a ton of time, but pthe roblem was resolved. MAF issue was fixed by a tune adjustment.
Cut the sensor in half again to get a regular depth socket on it and with a little PB Blaster overnight, it came right out. With both fixed, I was able to get 150 miles on the car to ready all the sensors and finally get the car inspected.

Bought some crazy Diode Dynamic SS3Max fogs for nighttime driving. The cutoff is super sharp just like the HIDs but effectively more than doubles the output while driving.

Finally got around to replacing my washer covers that broke as well. So nice to no longer have holes in the bumper. I would love to delete this from the car someday to be honest.

I wanted something more aggressive for brake pads for my trip to the Dragon. I went with some Project Mu M1 pads in the front and Project Mu HC+ in the back since they don't make the M1 for the back calipers.

Blacked out the window trim which has been on my list for over a 2 years finally as well.

Nice work getting it back together, bummer about the detour you took, but you made it!
I like the yellow fogs you put in, regarding the headlight washers, I kinda like them, looks bougie. Definitely have to sip drinks with pinky raised and yellow mustard -> grey poupon.

Got a good wash in before the trip. First time in a while this car has been really clean. The door jams were still filled with pollen.
I then bought a 20x30ft 16mil tarp for a clean space to wash cars. Which actually works out really well. It allowed me to use the new pressure washer setup for the first time as well. It worked great.

The extra GPM it has over the active gives even more shaving cream like foam than the Active using the same soap.

Nice and clean

Tested out a new tire shine and so far I really like it.

This past weekend was the annual dragon trip I organize with a group of friends every year I think this is like the ninth year at this point in some shape or form of this trip that started out with just three people long ago with me actually be one that was invited. This was the second largest group with 12 people and 11 cars. Having a couple members from on here join is always fun. @CLtotheTL32 @1StGenCL @97CL_NC1102 @mmade22
Might have been the best trip as far as driving goes in all the years I have been going. It definitely took me a while to get used to the car but it is the most dialed in car I have even taken up there. The cars abilities far exceed my own. The new tires were fantastic. I never managed to out drive them up there. The brakes were the best I have ever used up there. Didn't matter how hard I was on them they stopped quickly and had zero fade ever and we pushed pretty hard up there at times.
Meeting up in Starbucks before we headed out in the morning.

Quick photo at the bottom of the dam after a few evening dragon runs after we arrived Wednesday night.

The full crew of cars almost early one cold morning. The RS7 and ISF were parked at the other house behind the trees.

Liked this shot I grabbed of the ISF.

Ok, that is a very valid reason. I thought they only operated on their own switch.
really nice shots you posted, also nice house/property.
one day I’ll give the dragon another go. Several folks posted on the forum about it and it seemed like a very good time. So perhaps my experience was not completely representative.

- lovely.Sketchy in a Lexus, yes. But driving at night with no headlights in a Sentra or Altima is pretty much considered normal where I live.
Spied a very clean 1G TSX on the drive in to the office this morning. Couldn't snap a photo.
Matte looking sand color & had a ITR style wing on it, but otherwise very clean with a modest drop.

Always love when I see a clean 1G TSX. Few and far between these days. So many look like shit sadly.

Well, this escalated pretty quickly in the last week and wasn't totally planned. I had the itch for something new about 2 months ago. The thought has also been in my head that my two primary daily cars at 167k and 156k miles respectively. Maybe something with fewer miles would be smart, as I want to keep those cars for a long time. The two options were either I wanted another wagon or I wanted something with a manual. I know that leaves a lot of options and is also very different, but it also had to be fun as well because I have never done just a commuter vehicle. I have to find something engaging to consider it worth driving. Another thing that has always driven a lot of my car purchases is something rare and limited production.
As I get older, I have decided to become more financially responsible. Well, as responsible as you can be while owning 6 cars, I guess. I knew it wasn't the right time for the two cars that currently piquemy interest the most, which are an Audi RS6 Avant and a Porsche Cayman GTS or GT4 with a 4.0. I used to be ok with the thought of the older GT4 until I heard the 4.0 in the GTS and the GT4 now.
I then considered a newer Audi A6 Allroad or a Honda TypeR/Acura Integra TypeS. At the end of the day, I was just going to consider it not the right time for the payment I was willing to take on.
At the same time, a buddy has been looking to move into something else and has been shopping around while he had his current car listed for sale. The car was always intriguing, but I wasn't interested in it at what he had it listed for. I knew he was looking for a certain number if possible, because of what he was looking to move up to. Well, he ended up finding the car he wanted and decided to offer me a much lower price so he could move on to that. At that price, I was now interested.
Tuesday night last week, I picked car up for an extended test drive. By Friday, I told him I was in, and today we did the paperwork. I have now entered the world of German cars with a 2013 Audi S4 6MT. The other major selling point for me is that the car is already modded in every way I would, so I am not going to be tempted to toss money into it. There is more to why this particular car is of interest to me as well, and it might long term meet the desire of more than just another manual car.

Back to potentially meeting other desires like a wagon and limited production vehicles. This idea is still in its infancy, but a B8.5 S4 swap into an B8.5 Allroad is strictly a bolt together afair. There is no fabrication work needed at all. It is a project that is currently very my populating my head. Wouldn't be a first year project, but the thought of a car with a very good amount of get up and go, with a 6mt, and then being a wagon would tick a lot of boxes.

Thanks. We did actually get 7-8in of snow this year which was the first time we got more than like 2-3in in the last 7-8 years. My yard is a crazy hobby of mine. My goal always is to keep it looking like a sports field. With how warm it stayed till the end of the year my last fertilizer application was the first weekend in December. Our oddly warm winter other than the snow weeks has caused me a huge issue with early weeds this year though.

I mean it isn't without needing work. It needs a few suspension bushings replaced and he went stage 2 in the winter so never got around to doing a larger heat exchanger. It already has wheels I like, coilovers, and he has been through 6 different exhausts to find a good sound while having the car so I don't have anything to change there since I have heard every option he has tried and there are not really anymore. I plan to really stick to that plan because I have various maintenance items that are needed on the V, NSX, and I want to get the TSX running again.

I do miss the snow, must be fun in cool cars like you have. Regarding the yard, just keep the hobby healthy

Thank you. @rockstar143 definitely was involved with this pre-deal with his knowledge of the B8.5. He was excited for me to get it. I used to often joke that if I was to get into an Audi this would be the place to start as the engine seems like the LS of the Audi world.
Super happy for Jason and glad he felt like he enjoyed driving it enough to make it happen.
That was a sweetheart deal he'd regret passing on if he had. Just didn't have enough seat
time to know that it would likely be the best all around car to own. It isn't the only car out there, but
overall I still think it's the best daily. Knocked the TL off the pedestal in 2013 for me and
despite looking back repeatedly, it is just the hands down winner for me. Even after eating shit on a timing
guide service and refresh.
House looks tits.
Cars look tits.
Tits look tits.
Happy for you, Jas.
