Well...the S2000 needed more doors, more driven wheels, and a lot more torque...

I think you went the right direction with the M2 Comp. Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing more.

After putting 1,700 miles on it now, I can safely say the CTR is indeed an excellent daily driver as it's both practical and extremely fun to drive. But I do wish it was louder. That can always be taken care of down the road.

I've noticed the photo embedder has been flaky, I attributed it to some security settings we changed at the office.
Good to know some others are getting it too.
I found that if you paste/drop the image a couple tries it'll eventually work, but it's tedious.
Started a help thread on it:

While we wait for the forum to recover from its stroke, what's everyone doing for performance tires lately. M2 needs some new rubber. Currently between the Conti Extremecontact 02 and the Michelin PS4S. The Contis have better reviews and are $200 a set cheaper but the PS4S has been the benchmark tire for years.

My only experience is on the UHP All Season side.
Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 would be my top choice there. Had the AS3+ on the Flex & coworker had them on her Merc C300.
Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS+ would probably be my 2nd choice. Had the RE980AS on my C300 & they were nearly as good as the PSAS3+
If you're looking at stickier summer rubbers, I'll defer to the sporty crowd

Late to the party, but adding more validation to your purchase. I even moved the van on pilot sports from the continental sit used to have. Conti was good for a while, but with the heat here in FL, they get dry and hard which then results in poor grip in the wet.
You didn’t got for the CUP 2R? C’mon man!

Hes not putting those on a Dodge Caravan to pickup groceries… plus the news says it’ll be warmer next year, so he might get an extra afternoon out of them… gotta be smart and plan ahead! If those reasons still don’t justify it, then time to use #YOLO….

Ok pics as promised. First up, the loaner. This was the i4 eDrive40 RWD that I had. Overall the car was decent but not amazing. Also found out that you cannot one pedal drive this thing which is bizarre for an EV. It was in Tanzanite blue over the red interior and it was a lovely spec with great features inside.
Loved the hatchback portion.
Interior spec was on point.
Wait...what's this?

Now for the part you might actually care about. This thing has some big ass brakes, probably similar in size to what the GT350 had. Can't wait to have to replace these. The tires are nowhere close though, the rears on the M2 aren't as wide as the fronts on the GT350.
I also went through and cleaned off all the armorall-ish shit the dealership put on the interior and re-conditioned the front seats. Still have to do the rear seat but will deal with that when I go to remove the car seat next. Front plate was unfortunately installed by the previous owner, I had no say in the matter. Also MN dealerships are required to install a front plate prior to any vehicle leaving their possession. I'll look into getting some bumper plugs and take the front plate off soon.
Overall I like this thing a lot so far, it's a lot more playful and fun to drive than the Mustang was but definitely does not make anywhere close to as good of a sound out the back. It has a lot of resemblance to both the E46 and Golf R I had in that it feels like a pissed off small car which is a lot of fun. The power is more than enough stock, no desire to tune this thing lol. Maybe once I get used to it more but definitely not now.
