Well...the S2000 needed more doors, more driven wheels, and a lot more torque...

Dang only 48k miles. That is nice and low. Too soon for me though. Won't be in the market till the V is paid off in 2 years. Good luck though.

I wouldn't say that... I mean, it's not like Sam is getting rid of the s2000 and dumping the money into his retirement savings... He's looking to replace it with a different toy altogether. I think he was looking at a Jeep Wrangler, next, if I'm not mistaken. He can have plenty of top down fun in one of those... And without doors also... Just 2 feet higher off the ground vs the s2000

Sam, get yer ass out there and give us a photo shoot already!!! Bonus points if she's filthy with bags of landscape material, weighing the back down

Pulled up to an unsuspecting victim today. Some bro (literally, backwards hat and all) in a TLX A-Spec tried to take me off the line from a traffic light...results were predictable. The look he gave me at the next light was priceless. Sorry his ego got hurt by an economy hatchback.
One of my favorite Golf R features is that, to the average person, it looks the same as any other Golf and even more mundane than the GTI.

Golf Rs are sleepers for sure. Launch control & DSG ftw.

In race mode it's an absolute bonkers hot hatchback. In comfort on the highway, it's a Golf SE.

If this doesn't sell the GTI, I'm not sure what will... I'd imagine that it would do even better with only FWD and lower engine output. I was not hyper miling it either, this was just set cruise and go for ~250 miles.

Premium hit $5.63/gal, here, just a couple weeks ago

It hasn't gone below $5.06/gal, either.

Holy crap that's expensive. I just filled the R with premium for ~$2.84...

God damn ... that's GREAT gas mileage.
It makes you think .. what ARE the draw backs for a car of this price point? I'm having a hard time thinking of one.
